  1. Yours looks like what I have here at the raised bed, short and spindly. I was thinking taller and head on stalk like the wild stuff. I may need to dig one here and see what it looks like. The farm was wet, and choked out with weeds.
  2. I planted in spring. Looks like I need to try again this fall.
  3. Mine never bloomed, just wilted over and died in the mud. I put more garlic in ground for seed that I use in a year and looks like it failed. Taters did same thing in this wet spring.
  4. Kinda hard to catch and release with one of those.
  5. 2 weeks ago, I was mowing the yard in a break from the rains. It was still wet and humid and the bees were bearded on the hive and pissy. I made a pass by the bee yard and backed up in front of a hive to mow it. I normally just make a straight run across it with no problems First ones on right cheek started 3 stings, then they started on the left eye. Got under the glasses and hit the lid on top and bottom. Shoved it in high gear and made a run up hill for the house. Got the stingers out of my eyelid and things just looked like big bags under my eyes. Woke up next morning to this. Radiation and removal of most of my lymph glands have wrecked the fluid drainage off my head. I swelled like a balloon. Went to prompt care and got a dose of steriods. By the time I got there, standing and holding my head erect had taken enough down I could see out of the eye pretty well. I knew it would probably happen, been expecting it for 8 years now. But, it was the first multiple sting to the head shot since the cancer. First in all of my 13 years of bee keeping.
  6. Add another $100 for fertilize and double that crop..
  7. GPS is useful because the unit usually comes with a base map showing contours. New ones create a contour map and record actual reading to make a map. GPS units show drop offs and depth and allow you to search a map to find spots to fish.
  8. Wet Spring has taken its toll. First run of Sweet Corn is pretty sparse. Everything else is on track. Harvest today, fresh green beans, first run sweet corn, a cucumber and squash. Rest is looking pretty good.

    Normandy

Visiting sites where many have died have the same effect on me also. I have toured many Civil War locations around TN, KY, AR, MO, IL, MI, AL that have the same effect. The Union Soldiers usually have proper graves, the Confederates are in a mass lump or not marked in some locations. We were all Americans when it happened, they should be treated as equals.
  10. I have never figured out why anyone would want to risk a fine for a trout. Its a mental condition next to retardation. I have stood next to some that were taking the second creel, keeping fish in catch and release, or out of length fish many times. My line is less confrontational. "Did you see that Game Warden checking things out?" That usually causes an anal release. Even did that on a Game Warden one time, he forgot who I was..... He was using trebles in a fly only zone looking like a local trying to fit in and releasing the little browns they had just stocked in the upper Current River.
  11. I have them on both of my boats, work like a charm. Bought them during Covid when other chargers were out of stock. And they have performed well since.

    Pizza Ovens

    Nice looking oven.
  13. I planted garlic for the first time this year. How do you know when to dig it?
  14. Good trade, lighter boat should shake titties even better.. Should swap trailers, that one looks better.
  15. Looks to be in pretty good shape and well taken care of. I see a jack plate on it, how does it ride?
  16. https://www.outdoorlife.com/conservation/hunter-illegally-shoots-mountain-lion/ Looks like they got a fine for that one. Still have the money shot with the head on the cat. Priceless, maybe for them. 2k and loss of hunting for a year. Brushpile and some gas would have been cheaper than the moment of FB fame.
  17. That is a chicken hawk...
  18. They used to store the ICBM's here too in that part of the world. They will probably do their thing in the gulf around them with their suicide boats. It is a sore that needed to have the scab picked for a long time.
  19. It had a pee hole problem when I inherited it from my buddy, but was not overheating and going into limp mode. The clog has worked its way out and now the tube flows good. Water pump impeller is in good shape, replaced last year. I think most of the clog was sand sucked in on the 11pt.
  20. One thing about the forum, you learn stuff all of the time. Never thought a bird could peel a turtle out of a shell.
  21. That is a nice one for a small stream in MO.
  22. I have dug line out of a jet impeller, but usually just mono. Trolling motors are worse, they are usually running in shallow water where old line likes to lurk.
  23. That's the nice thing about a jet pump, it drains all of the time. I make it a point to lower the motor on my props when I park them for a while, they collect water when they are on a transom saver. Water can build up there and may bust the seal. That must have been alot of water in the lower unit housing to crack it like that.
  24. Skid plates are a preventive measure to protect vulnerable areas. Most kayaks are being made now with a replaceable part of different material on back. That is the part on them that gets abused dragging them from the front. I would put one on that boat, it was one deep gouge, but looks sound.
  25. I still say that was a caveman sorta mating cuddle they were going thru. And that coon was pimped out.
