    We were on Stockton Friday evening before dark and I was watching a bunch of white bass working on the bait fish. They were deep, and under the bait ball. I grabbed a lure like the pic, but chrome and blue tail and tied it on. Picked up a couple of white bass on it. I like the action and the way it sinks. I picked them up a few years ago somewhere, shucked the packaging and dropped them into the box. This was a whim that I even tied it on and used it, now I like it and can't seem to find it. Any idea on what it is?

    I fish for smallies 50 percent of my time on the water, where is my survey? Nothing in the mail or the email box. How were the participants selected?

    Most raindrops have been avoiding me lately unless I hook up to a boat. Been pretty dry around here, they evaporate before they land.

    Bring up navionics app on a computer or tablet and look at the map of the area you know. Then compare that to other points in area and try the same there. It could be drop or depth that's working, or maybe current is involved. Bottom structure and current come into play too. Backwater point or main channel. Rocks, gravel, or mud. Your maps on the boat unit should help also.

    The upper lake acts like a river, they form redds and spawn in the tailwaters or other spring fed tributaries if water levels stable

    Do you have electronics? Obviously you have seen a pattern develop and have worked out a system. I would try to match the same on other points. Its either drop off, current, or structure. Drop shot is a presentation to a specific area of suspended fish at a certain depth.

    Had to work it into budget. Most boat ramps down river are still gone.

    Float down any stream in MO and see the litter. Spent last week on the Current around Van Buren. The bottom was littered with Aluminum cans and bottles enough to make a crack head dive for them. I made the comment on one hole to my buddy that I thought the 16oz bottles ones were floaters, I thought they were double walled. Lots of other trash too. Found a nice set of swim googles for the grandkid, wifey made me toss them in trask, never know what kind of filth the owner was that lost them. They were circling the swirl hole at the town ramp.

    I spent yesterday with the grandkids and daughters, visited Dad at same time. Started 3 day vacation on Current River today with friends to celebrate Father's Day and Juneteenth.

    May be the fact I lost a third of my body weight with my shot to head and neck. They had a hard time finding a meal on me.

    Radiation Poisoning has finally wore off this year. Been nailed the last 2 times out at the farm by yearlings on the waist line. Caught them pretty quick, but still left a whelp. Something about the Radiation kept them off of me the last 3 years, kinda weird.

    I am pushing for Grandson to be born on July 4. Ob doc cleared her to go any time after this week. She is ready to pop, but not due until mid July. She may give it a shot and try. They did deliver the last ones 45 minutes apart on the same day, same hospital, same OB doc.
