  1. It fits. Branson is a river town.
  2. Nice all purpose fishing boat.
  3. Not for long. The gas is already putting V8 Trucks, campers, and boats out on the market again. There will be the predicted flow of slightly used Covid era toys bought that are taking more money to keep than sell. I love my Creek Company, 8 footer that I have had for 25 years. Don't use it much, but still works fine when I do. Bladders are still good and was pretty economical.
  4. Looks like the fish eat well, surprised they took a bait with swollen bellies like that.
  5. Pics of the inside would help some.
  6. More like carp with teeth, they will eat anything. I have seen them snub a perfectly matched caddis dry during a hatch of the same to nail a cigarette butt.
  7. How did they taste?
  8. I remember the time when you took all of that on yourself. Good to see you delegating stuff out and enjoying the short years we all have left. Keep a short leash on the Media guy, don't want to see a Rainbow mention or the website go to the dogs.
  9. How can you screw up cornbread??
  10. Smallmouth have been naturally reproducing for years. They have been encroached upon in many areas by non-native trout introduced by man. They have been targeted as a "rough species" by mistake while gigging the suckers that are legal. They have had bounties put upon them in the name of research. Someone reintroduced an otter that preys on their forage and smallmouth themselves. But the habitat has been degrading for years. Streams are getting shallower and straighter. Nobody has seemed to look at that. We have an opportunity to protect them. But publishing a contest that targets them will not help them.
  11. Maybe we can start gigging the trout soon.
  12. Those smallies look kinda short.
  13. Lilley Pro? CaLilley? Lilley's Academy? Lilley's Warehouse? In reality, why are you looking to change a successful business that has made you what you are today? How about the Ozark Angling Outfitters.
  14. California, can't even skip a rock there. Perfect state for the current indoctrination.
  15. Green Sunfish taste alot like smallmouth bass. I used to catch them out of ponds and gut and scale them. Head off and fry whole.
  16. Bees feed in a 5 mile radius from the hive. They feed on whatever is most plentiful until the summer die down. Then they loaf around and hit all kinds of things. Fall comes and they finish off on Asters and Goldenrods. Ants usually pollinate the tomatoes, bees will work squash and cucumbers, melons. Corn and many other plants are wind pollinated.
  17. Clover is the target now. Bees go for the big supply sources. Each flower only produces a minimal amount, they have to hit many each trip. Ants, butterflies, beetles pollinate also. Wind.
  18. I finally found the time to turn over my last raised bed and plant some Jade green beans, Black Beauty squash, and Straight 8 cucumbers. Strawberries fizzled due to the wet weather. Maybe a gallon. Never got a one, again this year. Don't know where they went. Wife picked them and never saw again. Lettuce and sugar peas are still going. Tomatos are knee high and blooming. Bees are busting out.
  19. Drop Shot.
  20. That is what I was thinking. Brushpiles and gravel areas for bedding and spawning.
  21. Sounds like it would be worth a $200 fuel bill to get some cheap tender and juicy brisket for $8. Looks like one of those spots that really make a meal. Best BBQ in my neck of the woods comes from a C Store. Winks in Gordonville makes a great Rib, pulled pork, wings, and pork on a stick. Hand cut tater chips.
  22. MDC putting another bounty on already hard to manage smallmouth species. I noticed a big decline years ago on the Castor River after they tagged and offer rewards for turning in the tags all for a study.
  23. The Flying Saucer House on the road up the hill to Signal Mountain was the theme to the thread. Goofy looking silver house made to look like a flying saucer. We went to Julia Falls on that part of the tour. Signal Mountain was crucial in the Civil War, as was many of the overlooks we went to. Good places to nail anything moving up the river. Lots of Native American culture there. Moccasin Bend was a big site. It is in one of my pics from the Overlook on Lookout Mountain. Downtown has its own culture also. Liberal area, bums roamed freely, sleeping on some of the best attraction areas. But we waded thru. Nice Art and a Aquarium that we did not visit. Nice weather and temps. Free concert downtown on Friday Night. Lots of good BBQ meals. I was wanting to trip over to the Smokies, but did not make it. It seemed to dwarf the 1700 ft flat spots we were on overlooks. A shot from Rock City 7 states area show them in the fog that make them the "Smokies". On the return trip, we toured the Fall Creek Falls area, a deep gouge in the area that has many falls and eroded scenery. We were near it when we did the Tims Ford and Normandy trip a few years ago, but did no Then there was a new sensation. Suspension Bridges. That radiation induced ear defect did not stabilize well in motion.
  24. Adding a frame with eggs will help that one.
  25. My buddy's new lake home that will be the retirement place. Its the one on the right of the big one. Back in the woods. We have Chickamauga, Nickajack, Watts Barr, Normandy, and Tims Ford all near the place. BTW, Aliens dropped a orange rock in the lake for some reason. Lots of places to go and see. We did the overlooks and Rock City. Interesting place, need to plan to spend some time there when you go. The Fairyland Cave was a creation. The whole thing took alot of work.
