  1. Hellbender?
  2. He has some age. Probably peaked and heading down.
  3. We tend to leak out a lot of good info on here at times. More content than other places. Fbook has been a thing and lots of content there at times, but it tends to be more self centered and biased. Keep up the good work. 45k is not much when you consider all the personal time and money spend building and keeping it up.
  4. Too much paperwork and rules.
  5. Bald Eagles eat alot of fish too. They are getting thick as thieves. Funny how they protect the Black Headed Buzzards that have been known to kill young calves. Farmers can't get the permits to shoot them.
  6. Now my posts have no meaning after you edited the firest.
  7. From the spool to the spool. You can spoil it by stretching it and running it over rough stuff. Or you can spool yourself on a big run and break it all off, then you need to re spoil. Checkerspell meant to say spool I think. Oneshot on meds. Gots to read between the lines, its the net.
  8. Nope, ruffles are the rocks in the riffles that you bang the foot on.
  9. Spoil a few fish with them and you will need the line then to respoil.
  10. Deer tend to bed in pines in the hills and turkeys will roost in them during winter. Not sure if needles all year give them more cover, but they gravitate to them. Pine needle in thickets keep ground cover down so deer my use that for vision while bedding. Doubt it would be useful in fields. Cedar is pretty useless except for birds to roost in. Assuming you are in Mo., MDC has private land guys that can help you return your fields to better manage wildlife. Give them a shot.
  11. Orvis has a pretty good site, shows estimated date if not in stock. Charge when it ships and one freight for whole order. Downside is it may dribble in for 6 months before complete. But the only hit the card when product ships for the items in package. You pay total freight up front on the part of original order that is in stock.
  12. Customer today had a variety of fowl around including guinea and a male peacock. No Pheasant.
  13. Wildlife cover crop.
  14. Poultry swaps would be a good place. One every 2 nd Sat at local sale barn. Dad kept pheasants around the farm, and a pair of peacocks. There were std pheasants, Amhurst, and Golden. The male peacock dropped it's tail feathers all over and I would stick them in a vase for later use. Banty roosters made for fair hackle too. They were in coops and easy to catch. Local cemetery kept birds in a display at the entrance, usually pheasant and peacocks. I know some that used that as a source of material for flies.
  15. Local town here cried and pleaded for internet use tax vote and the numbnuts passed it. It was for law enforcement and fire dept, road improvements. City announçed this week that they were going to use it for employee raises.
  16. Muddy rain spots all over cars here yesterday, something was sucked up somewhere. Small twister a few miles north of here.
  17. Good looking fly.
  18. Turned out to be a deadly nite. Big tornado on ground for 200 miles. Looks like over 50 dead on Ark., Tn., Ky. Was watching on local news as it rolled through Reelfoot, Mayfield. Looked as big as whole town of Mayfield.
  19. Been outside watching the moon in 68 degree weather. Meanwhile, tornado seems to have been tracking between the NE Ark to Benton Ky. Weather radio popping off all nite, but all I have is a nice light show to the south. BTW, its 68 degrees at 10 pm on a Friday nite in the middle of Dec. Something is wrong.
  20. I find more chain pickerel in upper portion of Current River and Jack's Fork than lower part. Sloughs and grass beds.
  21. You leave the scours on the carpet and furniture?
  22. Hot sauce will give it the scours and you will have a mess on your hands, and carpet, and furniture.
  23. Rocky Mountain Tick Fever is a sketchy disease. A sore that does not heal is something to deal with. Unless you are diabetic, then that would be another problem. That has been going on for a while with you. Couple of more for effect. That was 6 years ago. It started with a bite out of my tongue. They made the new tongue out of the arm. Not sure where they will pull a lip from... Bet it will not taste as good as my arm.
  24. Nuff said about that. Get it fixed.
  25. Gonna need a new boat.
