  1. Yes it is. I remember all of those young guys out on the parade ground when we went to our grandson’s graduation from officers candidate school in Quantico. It was quite a sight.
  2. Good outing there Pete. What river?
  3. They are always going good around Forsyth in late March.
  4. Good news. I just got a call from my daughter. Her test results are good the fever has been gone for 2 days. The consulting panel of doctors released her around 4 pm. She is back home.
  5. Chemo is rough stuff. My daughter has been taking it for 12 weeks. They switched it last week to a new kind and it landed her in the hospital. She’s been there a week having all kinds of fluids and several units of blood. Cancer is awful.
  6. Judging by the smoke I think the COE did one at Crabtree Cove when we were down there.
  7. We got wind and small hail. I haven’t been out to check stuff yet.
  8. Good to hear from you. I’m glad you got back on Stockton. Those are a couple of beautiful fish. I’m heading to Hartley in a couple of hours. I’m planning to fish from there to the dam. Ned, jig and shaky will be my primary offerings.
  9. Hartley
  10. I don’t have much of a garden anymore but I have been doing some tilling and cleaning up the asparagus row.
  11. That’s what I have been finding from Carrs to Jackson Hollow. I’ve had enough. I’m going to Stockton tomorrow.
  12. By all means go to the cabin and let her go to Tennessee.
  13. Get her to wait until fall. They are beautiful then.
  14. Jeff and I met at 07:00. We fished a couple of close places and had one bass. We headed up river and fished to near Carrs. I had caught one on a Ned and Jeff had 2 on a swim bait. We got tired of no bites and took off down stream. We wound up in Piney where we caught 2 keeper lmb and 1 crappie. It was a very slow bite day. The water was dingy and 46° to 51°. The wind was sw at 5-15. All in all it was tough today.
  15. Maybe you should set one up for this forum.
  16. One of my old fishing buddies always said, “Getting old ain’t for sissies “. I am in total agreement.
  17. Looks like you have him set up real good. Love the cedar table.
  18. We didn’t find the lucky spot. We fished from Cape to Jackson Hollow and had an Indian Creek day.
  19. Spring must be around the corner. I have robins in the yard. I haven’t seen them in months.
  20. Pete’s thread sounds familiar.
  21. If guaranteed I would in a heartbeat. I’m thinking $100 per pound wouldn’t be out of line.
  22. Where are you located? Would a camper run and setup then a boat run work. A couple of friends of mine did that for years. I was fortunate in that my wife could pull the boat while I pulled the 5th wheeler.
  23. Interesting. I didn’t know that Tim was still around. I haven’t seen him in years, since I had one of his boats on consignment. I’ll bring some next time we go and you can show me how to catch fish on them.
  24. We are up to 21° here at 10:00 but still have 2’ drifts on the driveway and our street hasn’t been cleaned.
  25. Thanks Marty. The power came back on at 12:11. All will be good when this white stuff melts and I can get back on the water.
