  1. Did the rain muddy up the water? Is there floating debris? I’d like to hit it for a while this pm if it is decent.
  2. Yes
  3. Wind knots is one of the reasons I quit braid for most applications.
  4. You’d have to ask Babler that question. We did catch several females that look ready to pop. I’m betting on the full moon if we don’t have too many cold fronts.
  5. I took my neighbor today. I was trying a new shaky head jig. We also used Ned. Fished Piney, Woolly and Buzzard. Fish came from points and ledges. Ks and greenies. 5 keepers. 32 total.
  6. We have the beetles but that is like bear hunting with a switch when two of the neighbors don’t do anything to help.
  7. We are still fighting multi flora rose along with thorny locust and musk thistle.
  8. They are everywhere in this part of the state. There is s whole grove of them behind our police station.
  9. Never heard of this before. Interesting.
  10. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tannic_acid It hasn’t bothered the bass as far as I have been able to tell. I’ve been fishing in it for the last few weeks.
  11. Flat looks fine at the bridge. There were 16 trailers at the resort ramp.
  12. I’ve read about them and looked into something similar when I needed new bunks but decided to stay with carpet and had Tom at Championship do them for me.
  13. The Cape Fair cove is nasty looking. There is a lot of floating debris. I haven’t been up but down it starts to clear below Wooly but there’s a lot of tannic acid in the coves and creeks.
  14. I’m using the wide gap ewg in some real narly places. So far it has really impressed me, enough that I have ordered 50 similar jigs from Mike Seibert with a 3/0 hook to try for shaky.
  15. That mri might just pull that implant right out of your body. My mil who had a pace maker was referred for an mri. I thought it sounded fishy but drove her there. I talked to the nurse in charge and told about the pace maker. Her response was get her out of this building before something bad happens.
  16. Once again I have to bow to you. Today in the Cape Fair area the number was 43 and the keepers were 3. My birds showed 57° most every where I went. Every place I stopped gave up at least 1 fish. I fished from 9-2. Cape is muddy and down lake tannic acid is still everywhere in coves and creeks. I only used 2 baits: green pumpkin trd and the deal trd on weedless ewg heads. This is the first time I can remember not losing a Ned.
  17. Was the water muddy looking up there? When I crossed Flat Creek there were 16 boats at the launch ramp which was a factor in my going down, that and the water color in the Cape Fair cove.
  18. Glad you had a good trip. Mine are all the regular TRDs. I don’t have any of the larger ones.
  19. Between Wooly and Piney. The farther down the cleaner. There is still a lot of tannic acid around.
  20. That is also what I thought. I had lmb, smb, spots and that one. I caught from 1 to 10 fish every place I stopped. I didn’t have a lot of keepers but did have a lot of fun. TRDs with Jades Jigs especially the mud minnow was the best bait. This 4# was the best of the day.
  21. What do you think this little guy is?
  22. If you decide to go, stop by and pick griz and me up. It’s on your way and we are both dying to go. A concert in the rain with 30 mph winds has always been on my bucket list.🤣
  23. With the millions in merchandise sales they aren’t likely to move anywhere. The spring class has brought in a half a million on the first day at the Springfield store alone. Just try to imagine what the sales are going to be like for this event.
  24. Phil this is how mine look.
  25. I got a call and some Arig pics today. I really like it but have blanked on it so far this year.
