I agree, somehow I think those fish know it is KVD and just bite so they can get on TV. I threw a crankbait all over Table Rock that weekend with NO LOVE.

Good job guy, Thanks for the reports.

I have a Falcon Original FS-4-166 Medium Spinning Rod that has broken about 3 inches from the tip. Seeing as how there are multiple Falcon guys on here I am wondering of the original value and whether it is worth submitting to Falcon for a warranty $20.00 replacement. Thanks in advance for any help you guys can provide.

Fuel additives do you use them?
TRRANGER replied to Dutch's topic in Tips & Tricks, Boat Help and Product Review
The "fix" if you want to call it one for Phase Separated fuel is to add isopropyl alcohol in large quantities. Example is if a filling station has a tank that goes in to separation they just don't pump it out and dispose of it, that would cost large dollars on a 3000 gallon tank. What happens is a company comes in with 55 gallon drums of industrial rubbing alcohol and dumps it in the tank and put a 3 inch pump hose in 1 side of the tank and the discharge in another side of the tank and starts circulating the fuel and adding alcohol till it has corrected the separation. So it says 10 percent but it could be more depending on many factors, ethanol fuel is less efficient than conventional fuel by several miles per gallon and as the ethanol content increase the efficiency decreases. -
Me too, but in July n August

Vernon must be in town, This has to be his fault. I want the rain but not in 12 hours, we could spread it over a week or two.
-
Vernon, are you in the area?

The Spoonbill was the Dino in his story, which on a crappie rod was probably a really good time.

Thanks for the nice pictures, congrats on catching a few. I did not fair as well as you did but like you I had a great couple of days.

Just got my order, it all looks amazing, packaged to keep tails straight and ready to fish. They colors are better in person than the pictures show. Shipping was faster than I expected. Mitch you have a great team working to get your products out, I will be returning for more product in the future and highly recommend Tackle Max

Mitch, I just placed an order and am excited to see them. They look fantastic and am looking forward to using them. I like to try and support local businesses as much as possible and the look of your product makes that much easier.

I do believe you are speaking a truth, Hank Cherry is a master with a jerkbait. I was a marshal the 2nd time the elites came to Bull Shoals and I was sent out with him. He caught everything in Bull Shoals that swam and was able to put that jerkbait in places I never would have dreamed you could cast it, in between bushes and dock floats it was amazing to watch. He is a great guy to talk with also, explained what he was doing and how he found his fish. Spent a whole day learning and asking question was a blast, I would recommend it if you can get a chance to be a marshal. -

Compared to us yes he is a kid, but as far as the new Scoper generation is concerned he is not -

Hamner is no kid, he is 33 years old so compared to me yes a kid but from some of the 19 to 25 year old elites this year I would not consider him a kid. Yes he is a "Scoper Whiz" but he was catching several old school. I do believe that this payout is disgusting, it cost each angler $50k just in entry fees for the season and BASS and the sponsors that are being plugged the entire time the live coverage is happening are all making huge amounts of money. This was billed as the super bowl of bass fishing and to only pay out 300k to the winner, boat 150k truck 85k to 100k 50k entry lodging fuel equipment and he might have broke even after fishing 2 years on the elite series. BASS should be ashamed of themselves. -
I have a tried and true method, it is call a Brennan. He is a young man that has fished with me since he was 12 and is now 25. I just hand him line and a reel and magically the line ends up on the reel and I have not ever had any issues. I am 50 now and this system has worked really well until he moved to Arkansas for work. Luckily his mom still lives close to me so he comes to visit I save them up and he gladly helps. This is probably no help unless yall are able to locate you a Brennan but it is a good deal if you can, I recommend it highly, make a lifelong fishing buddy and solve the spinning reel problem.

FFS, Is forward facing sonar IE Livescope, Active Target, or Mega Live depending on the manufacture. Real time sonar that faces off the front of the trolling motor or a shaft or turret for making precise presentations to fish. Or according to google, it allows an angler to “look” in real time at a view of what's out in front of the boat. The goal being to see fish ahead of the boat and present a bait to them before the boat ever gets to them.

Long gravel point that run out to deep water, you may be 150 yards from the bank but only be in 25 ft to 35ft of water but can cast to 10 to 15 ft of water.

BJ Boat Rebuilders in Highlandville did really nice work on my old Ranger 360V. Call Jimmy (417) 725-1792 -
Milliken is a very talented angler that has learned how the technology works and uses it to its fullest potential. You tube and livescope are a new era that he is an expert in both and he works really hard and spends an immense amount of time on the water which is key to success. I have learned a lot about how the livescope works from watching his information. I am frustrated at some of his fish handling and that he never has a lifejacket on and I think that is a bad image to portray to young anglers that will imitate their perceptions of things that are ok. It is his prerogative to not wear one but after seeing the aftermath of a boat with no kill switch and a friend losing an arm, it can happen quickly and at slow speeds. I feel he is also very adaptable to the situation which is a crucial element to being successful at a high level.
