A small how to Bucktail preservation

Excellent Marty! i buy mine form various places. It’s so hard to find the fine bucktail I like from the fly shops. I’ll rummage through ten tails or more before I find the one I like. Then grab a piece to cut to length. After I cut it off I grab it by the tips with my left hand, then take my right hand and slide my fingers from left to right with a light grasp. This removes the smaller, shorter, under hairs that cause problems. Only use the hair stacker if needed. Good bucktail is so hard to find!! -

I'm the son of a red-headed hot tempered Irish mother. But she was the greatest ever. I've got some, if not most of her failings myself. My dad was the most mild mannered Mr. Rogers neighborhood kind of guy. I got a few of his traits. Translated- we are all human and are flawed and need forgiveness.

Something's got to give these fish some relief.These were all caught out of LOZ in the last 2 weeks. My opinion is mishandling in the livewells with no slime coat protection. Just too darn many tournaments!

I'm starting a new business venture and looking for investors. I'm starting a service that relocates fish from PB2 to your favorite brush pile the day before the tournament. 😂Please PM me your GPS coordinates at least one week ahead of time. I'll fish my favorite finesse technique to catch these "ramp camper" bass. I'm looking for a catchy new name for this new business venture! Any suggestions?? ps. I'm sure the big time LOZ pros have never done this! 😜

Smoking a brisket this weekend for my little darlings 8th birthday party. The Traeger will get a workout. I'm gonna use Apple and Oak wood and only salt and pepper rub. Should be interesting. No, we don't eat smallmouth....anyone who does is put on a "don't share any info with status". We are dead serious.
