Property Owners Vs Floaters And Anglers

Yep, I see that all the time on the creeks around here....The guy/gal doing all the running off and calling of the law isn't even the owner of the freakin property !

Blows me away that when someone calls the county to report someone trespassing ON A UNPOSTED AREA the county doesn't even bother to verify that the RP is even authorized to make the complaint.

They just send a deputy out to remove the person from the creek (or wherever) and write them up for trespassing. And it never gets challenged.

WTF?

Guilty, Second Degree Murder.

http://www.stltoday.com/news/state-and-regional/missouri/jury-finds-property-owner-guilty-in-river-shooting/article_200f13aa-9901-52fb-947e-102b97ec049e.html

Does not look like any river right of way issues were even brought up. That part still looms in limbo and will remain the same little fuzzy gray area. Of course, that part was not on trial.

Wow, that was fast.

He was convicted by a jury of his peers, in a courthouse not far at all from the scene of the crime. Justice was served.

The jury essentially was asked "what happened that day down by the river?" And they quite quickly answered: "Murder."

That's really all I need to know. I trust the jury.

This thread certainly has taken a vicious turn by some. You lose all credibility with me on here when you spew your vile anonymously.

I don't agree with adding any more regulations, mandatory floating classes, or canoeing fees to use our streams.

The only solution is to step up law enforcement. I have definitely noticed less of the huge party groups since the crack down on drunken float groups a few years ago where I float. But then, I get away from the rivers close to populated areas. And there are lots of places to float where you can get away from the crowds if you take the time to look for them.

Crocker certainly had a mental problem. He'll probably appeal on a lack of defense. He probably had some grandiose idea that he was the areas militia protecting his land and his neighbors from invasion.

I know it's risky to speculate, but the floaters seemed to be adults, rather young people adult in age only. In my experience around the Niangua there's a big difference.

Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.

Scott, Mitch, Chief, Stoneroller, do you buy this allegation? Do you guys think this is rooted in reality?

Knowing Paul....he would say all of that to your face and more.....definitely. Is he a dick?? probably seems that way to some??? I think Paul and I are some of the few who care enough about the river and it's creatures to do what really needs to be done to preserve them and repair them....and that is shut them down. The usage of the streams is out of control and the environment itself is in decline, if you disagree with that, then you haven't fished or floated streams for that long to know the difference.

Outfitters are pimps who have clients or johns or tourist as Justin calls them, that destroy the environment in many different ways. A pimp would never give up his flow from a ho....he admits that.

The johns are the ones who have been destroying the Niangua, Meramec, Big Piney, Current, Jacks Fork. N.Fork of the White and the Black rivers, the pimps are the ones profiting from the defenseless and unwilling whores.

Get these Ho's of the streets and get the pimps out of here.
