You guys keep up with the grits and I will have to brave the unwashed masses to get some.  I used to make sausages and kraut a lot, also used to use what my kids called poofy dogs.  Some hot dogs on a string that appeared to be wrapped in red latex baloons.  Were tasty though.

A few posts ago someone spoke of freezing and vac sealing leftovers. I have chili and several other items done that way in my freezer.

On the other hand, some things are better frozen in bulk. One is spaghetti sauce. Freeze whatever you have left, then when you want to use it, thaw it all. Cook it, tinker with the flavors, and freeze whatever is left.

Last night I had the third time is the charm pasta. I used the last of some frozen sauce. I, of course, could not help myself. I tinkered with the flavors. The result was the best yet.

Can't wait to put some crappie fillets on this smoker!

Ordered a new grill and new smoker today!  Nothing fancy, paid less than $200 total for both, free shipping! Had a big smoker/grill and it was great, but it's time to retire it, and I couldn't BBQ and smoke meat at the same time, this way with 2 separate units I can😉

I picked up half of a half yesterday.  Going to do a grilled burger, baked potato and first batch of garden asparagus tonight.  Looking forward to it.  Anybody that says all ground beef is the same is just, just just....words fail me.  Quality counts.

You are right Rick quality equals taste!

No room for much beef here in limited storage. When we want a special burger We do 1/2 pound ground sirloin , 1/2 pound brisket and 1/2 boneless short rib and grind it ourselves with a course die. Then grill to a medium rare. Dang now I want one :) .

Those bullet smokers are just great.  Simple and totally great product coming out of them.  I've got one still in use occasionally that has to be 25 years old.

Lunch was a hot open face meatball sandwich. Too much sauce for a top :) . Some smoked Colby Jack melted on it.
