It is just another muscle and a tasty one at that but if we get hungry and you let us know of the next white bass fry we might drive up to Wrench city. Snagged there will be peas in todays menu but they will be called black eyed, BilletHead has a diet with variety grizwilson 1 "We have met the enemy and it is us", Pogo If you compete with your fellow anglers, you become their competitor, If you help them you become their friend" Lefty Kreh " Never display your knowledge, you only share it" Lefty Kreh "Eat more bass and there will be more room for walleye to grow!" We can throw down a White bass dinner just about any time. We did fried last time, and we always rotate, so the next batch will be baked on a bed of buttered rice with steamed broccoli and carrots on the side. Break open a bottle (or three) of Redwood Creek Chardonnay. And strawberry cheesecake for desert. That's about as fancy as the eating ever gets around here. grizwilson, BilletHead, snagged in outlet 3 and 1 other 4

Part Billy goat but I draw the line at cans and aluminum foil. You got a fancy air rifle so eat some fancy food buddy . You can cook those tree rats so many ways beside frying. We use the dry bag black eyed peas, soak over night, cook all day, usually cut up a roll of the eckerige sausage put in if we have it if not some ham trimmings. eats pretty good, along with some cabbage......after effects can be disturbing..... Not exactly sure what it was but it was good. It was like a casserole with a layer of biscuits on top, had carrots, taters and gravy in it. I assume that she boiled the meat off the bones first. Wish I knew how she made it, I might just try to fake it and see how it turns out. Gavin and Johnsfolly 2
Gavin Posted January 1, 2018 Posted January 1, 2018 No peas, black eyed or green in this house. Did a batch of cowboy beans (pintos, chiles & ham hocks, etc) to go with the carnitas next weekend. Currently making jambalaya. BilletHead and MOPanfisher 2

No sense diluting the flavor with water. When I sous vide the squirrel for the sandwich the meat was so sweet. For a real treat you should pressure can some.
