Oh man I love pancakes

Aunt Jamima, "just add water".

I've forgotten what a REAL pancake tastes like.

So sorry....My kids only eat real pancakes...The old "Joy of Cooking" recipe is very good.

I honestly can't knock AJ's JAW.

It's what we eat at camp....cuz it's quick and easy.   I'm more picky about the butter and syrup than I am about the pancake.

Besides, if you've never dipped an OREO cookie in AJ's JAW and deep fried it....you haven't experienced ecstasy yet.

Mix a good pancake recipe in a zip lock before you go...cut corner and easy peazy, Here is mine.

Dry goods

1.5C flour

1t  salt

3T sugar (or less to taste)

2t double acting baking powder,,,salt is required to activate the reaction with the baking powder

Combine, & mix

Wet Mix

2 eggs whisked

3T Good unsalted butter melted in the micro, or on stove

1C whole milk....(More to adjust the batter for texture later, after mixed)

Whisk the heck out of the, wet and combine dry and wet. Don’t whip up the wet & dry to much. Just until smooth.

You will have some fine pancake batter. Usually add some vanilla to the mix, Might drop some diced strawberry, choc chips, or blue berry in the pan with the cakes if I have some handy.. Think will make for the gals on Sunday..

Usually have pancakes every Sunday. The youngest loves that.

During the week we are barely home enough to fix anything that takes any kind of time.
