I have a tough time putting any of the comic book hero movies into the same mix as movies like the Quiet Man or Cool Hand Luke. It's almost like they are guilty pleasure movies. I enjoy most of them and have seen several like the Avengers over and over again.

I remember hearing John Wayne told Bruce Dern everyone would hate him for what happens. I also heard that Bruce Dern hated that film and regretted being part of it because he became a public enemy for killing John Wayne. Also that John Wayne reeked of whiskey when he told Dern about folks hating him for killing Wayne's character as they shot that scene.
liphunter Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 Geeze their is so many. But I guess I'll go with "Saving Private Ryan". It's kind of weird. I watched that movie when it came out, but it bothered me so much. I have never been able to watch it again. Johnsfolly and Ham 2 Luck is where preparation meets opportunity...... Or you could just flip a coin???
Ryan Miloshewski Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 Just seeing this so I am adding mine. In no particular order.. 1) The Quiet Man 2) The Big Lebowski 3) Planes, Trains and Automobiles 4) The Shawshank Redemption 5) Saving Private Ryan Flysmallie and Johnsfolly 2 “To those devoid of imagination a blank place on the map is a useless waste; to others, the most valuable part.”--Aldo Leopold
