Most of us are at work right now paying for our fishing stuff lol.

I used to. But I figured out it's a hell of a lot more fun when you aren't. If your hobby stresses you out then you are doing it wrong.

I'll admit most of the time I do it wrong. I'm working on that.

I fish Stockton a lot because I enjoy the lake. I don't fish the river arms near as much as I fish the dam area. I see very few people who are not nice on the lake. I can't remember the time someone cut in front or pulled in on top of me. I have seen it but it seems to be more prevalent the few times I crappie fish in the year. I love to fish table rock but guys let's be honest by the middle of may to first of October it's pretty common to get cut off run over and nearly killed by speedboats. if you see a green ranger r61 with oa stickers stop and say hello.

I happen to know denjac very well and can assure you that he meant no malice in posting his opinion. He simply stated his view on conservation and made a point to include that the guy had a right to do as he wanted with the fish.

While I'm at it, my opinion is that this "anything goes as long as it's legal" attitude is a threat to the blessings we all enjoy as residents of the Ozarks. Keeping a mess of fish to eat occasionally is one thing. Keeping the 8-pounder is not a sin, although some of us would like to have seen it swim away. But a general attitude of "by gosh it's legal so it's OK" doesn't show the kind of responsibility we need to uphold as sportsmen and stewards of the resources that we all enjoy.

There is a difference in what's legal and what's ethical.

Especially when it comes to rivers.

Here's the thing though, if there were a bunch of us regular bass fisherman keeping them then yea the regulations would definitely need to be revised. The general and popular attitude of most all bass anglers is catch and release. That's why I say if it's legal, he caught it, it's his fish to decide. If we all kept fish like we were crappie fishing we'd be in trouble though lol.

We all know that most all the time those big fish go back so there's no need in a big mess ever time one gets caught and kept.

Around here on LOZ you got summer people and some old residents thtkeep small everything. currently thelakeinmyarea is chuck full of fat 12" bass. i realky enjoy fishing for them.they areeasy to catch and show a lot of fight.

recently I seen some guy raised a stringer on his dock that had 5 or 6 of those little bass on it. I also know of a permanent resident that takes every crappie he can catch. He is going to get caught guarantee it.
