fishinwrench Posted July 5, 2015 Author Posted July 5, 2015 Normal is what makes you happy. Tell me about it ! Funny that for 6 years there wasn't a problem, everything was just great. Then there was a wedding.....And now I need to be normal. You young single guys, pay attention.
Mitch f Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 6:00 for me When you have kids under 13 it doesn't make sense to eat at 8:30. After dinner, there's homework and showers. Bed at 9:00. My 13 yr old catches the bus at 6:40. Without kids I'm not sure I would want to eat that late anyway. Someone said you're not supposed to eat within 3 hours of bedtime...who knows. Seth Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 We eat between 5:00-6:00pm most days. I get off work at 4 and my fiance leaves for work at 6 so it works out well for us. I cook on days she works and she cooks when she is off. If we are both off, I usually handle the meat and she tskes care of the sides.
cnr Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 8 is normal for us in the summer. Gotta get things done before dark. Our schedule gets earlier in the winter months. When my daughter was in school we had dinner around 6 to leave time for homework. Times change, circumstances are variable. My families dinner time has evolved.
Terrierman Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 Oh good grief Ness, really? Ok so I am a bit older than some of you. All will be revealed as you get older. Wiser too well maybe a wise something. Hey I need my beauty rest, BilletHead I'm older than I've ever been. Daryk Campbell Sr 1
Terrierman Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 Seldom do I eat before 7:30 or 8:00. Too much stuff to do around the place.
moguy1973 Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 7:30-8:30. Sometimes later. My wife is an attorney and doesn't get home until then usually. -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson
Mitch f Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 I would call up 2 restaurants and ask them when there busiest time is.....only 2. Then you can apply statistics and come up with a concrete answer. Don't ask the fattest used car salesman you see, he won't know anything. ? I know, I'm stirring it....forgive me "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
fishinwrench Posted July 5, 2015 Author Posted July 5, 2015 I drive past enough restaurants to know that their busiest time is NOT 5-6:00 it's more like 7:30-8:30. Dinner at 8:00 suits me best but it looks like a compromise is gonna have to be made, so I'll say 7:30, she'll say "NO 6:30!" THEN hopefully we will settle at 7:00. Mitch f 1
