fishinwrench Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 Funny! Nope, unless the 2015 word for a persons right arm is "selfie stick".
jdmidwest Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 I found out that Super Rooster Tails make a nice smallie bait and invested $50 bucks on an assortment of them. Trying some new waters next week, heading out past Nashville to fish the Caney Fork Tailwater for trout for a few days and then trying a new stretch of the Buffalo River. Al Agnew Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 I'll probably write a longer post about it tomorrow (with pictures), but this past week I spent a couple days seeking Montana smallmouth bass, instead of just pounding on the local trout. Spoiler alert...it was an interesting road trip but not very successful. Mitch f 1
Old plug Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 I learned a awful lot about battery boxes in Alumni Targa boat. And subsequently studied everything I could find about batteries chargers. Was a costly education.
jtram Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 I don't watch TV anymore this year, as a matter of fact, I unsubscribed completely from cable television starting Jan 1st. I feel liberated. I do miss my Cardinal games though. Likewise, we make our kids play and read. Mitch f 1
JestersHK Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 I learned to drift fish for trout with a spinning setup. Been mostly a jig fisherman exclusively in this just my 3rd year of Trout fishing addiction. Fished a fly rod a few times, but have not started that addiction yet... Best thing I did this year was take all 3 of my girls out fishing all at once. At 10, 7, and 3 it was like herding cats, but all 3 of them caught fish including the little ones first bluegill. As a parent I finally realized the level of patience my father had teaching me to fish. As I cut out knots and retied lines for the younger 2 I was proud to watch my 10 year old go down the lake from us a bit, bait her own hook with worms and proceed to catch fish without my guidance. Was a great moment and right up there with her landing her first trout on her own.
mjk86 Posted September 15, 2015 Posted September 15, 2015 This is an odd one...but i tried for the first time ever a jig n pig type lure. Ive never used a traditional skirted jig with a craw trailer before, this year i gave it a shot. Been using a nutech 1/2oz jig, with a rage craw trailer and custom skirts. I certainly have not have much success with it, but caught a few to keep it interesting. Funny that its what most people learn to fish with, but something ive never even considered until my cousin taught me an embarrassing lesson ill never forget (his jig vs my wacky worm). Now i desperately wanna learn it better.

Haris122 Posted September 15, 2015 Posted September 15, 2015 Trying to learn how to use a baitcaster. Definitely not coming natural to me.
