Smalliebigs Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 That's still not as bad as what I posted in the Maramec Springs section one day. I meant to say something about taking kid's down there fishing and it being filled with a bunch of "dinks" and I accidentally typed dicks! Somebody caught it before me and made a post quoting it. sorry Seth it was just too funny...had to do it Seth 1

Bass Enforcer Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 I apologize if this has already been suggested. But here is a little trick to do if you are practicing skipping docks to avoid a "deep backlash." Due to the fact that you are not making long cast while skipping, while you are home and your line is still dry, make a decent cast. Maybe 30- 40 feet or so. Then pull out a little bit of line if necessary. Then wrap your spool with black electrical tape. As you are reeling back in your line keep good pressure on your line to sink it into the black tape thus allowing better adhesion to the spool line. If you do back lash it does not take too long to get it out or if you have to cut it out your not losing too much line either. And then as with anything else practice practice practice. You'll get it. Good luck and I hope this helps some of you. tho1mas 1
