fshndoug Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 I like to stretch my line on big fish, trailer hitches don't put up a good fight until they reach 20 mph. Mitch f, laker67 and Champ188 3
Quillback Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 I'll tell you how tough Invisx is, I tied off on my truck hitch to do the stretch thing, I started pulling on my rod, no stretch and darn it If I didn't start pulling the truck backwards (F-150 with the parking brake set). I stopped pulling when the tires started smoking. And that was using 4 lb. Invisx. ness, Ham, fishinwrench and 2 others 5

Guest Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 Quill, did you buy 6lb or 8lb hybrid? Where did you find it locally? I'm always having to order thru ebay. It behaves kinda like maxima, there's some curl to it, so that's the only drawback i've seen.
Quillback Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 Trophy, I can't remember where I got it, I know it wasn't local, I've had this spool probably 6 or 7 years now. I remember it being a good deal, but darn if I can remember where I got it. grizwilson 1
mixermarkb Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 It's expensive, but Sunline Sniper in the green color is the best line I've ever used on spinning gear. It's thin, doesn't stretch like a rubber band, but is still limp enough that it handles ok on spinning gear, and it seems to last longer than most other fluro lines. I like me some nanofil on the crappie rods, because it is easy to cast super light baits on, and I use nanofil on the wife and kiddos rigs because it's almost impossible for them to get twist in. For fishermen with any experince though, the Sunline Sniper rocks. I just wish I could find the green color in bulk spools, and I wish it was cheaper.

Quillback Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 It is a 600 yard spool of clear, 6 lb. test. It looks full or close to full, but I may have spooled a reel in the past so it may be only 500 yards. PM me your address and I'll send it to you, it's just gathering dust, you might as well have it.
snagged in outlet 3 Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 I'm going to give Nano a thorough try this year, but for different reasons than we've heard already. I'm getting old and don't see my line as well anymore and I'm hoping the white line helps. I'm really had no trouble with the alberto knot. If it pulls through it's not tied correctly.
