He got his butt kicked from start to finish and was pouting like a 5-year-old by the end. The guy has a world of physical talent but he has some maturing to do inside the noggin. It was like Shula forgot to scheme anything besides base. Very strange game. Lot of 50/50 balls flying around that neither team made plays on. Could have been very different. Used Cam as a drop back style QB, which, and I've only watched a few Panther games, isn't his strength. If I was a Carolina fan, I might have started throwing stuff at the TV. Ham and Terrierman 2

Loved every minute of that game too. Just smothering defense. Which is actually what won me the pullets. I had the under on 47! Not even close, could not believe I got that. Only on OA does a guy say he won chickens on a football bet! I love this place. Pete mixermarkb, Quillback and Deadstream 3

Don't see how anyone who watched the whole game could call it boring. Denver defense really did win. Denver was ONE for seventeen on third down conversions and is the first Super Bowl winner ever with under 200 yards total offense.

They actually ran a lot of zone read, but there were problems. Cam either made the wrong reads, or Phillips jacked up the reads with scheme. Denver also absolutely committed assault at the mesh. They attacked it. People are dumping on Talib, but he set the tone. Can't dominate on D without crossing the line on occasion. Flysmallie 1

I was dumping on Talib because of the stupid taunting penalty that he took that kept the drive alive and the facemask penalty where he looked like he was trying to rip the guys head off. I think you can set a tone without being an idiot. He's like a DB version of Suh. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish

The taunting bothered me more than the facemask. Have always thought that when playing an "elite" QB, meaning a princess who hates being on the ground, it would be worth 15 to lay a nice, solid late hit on him early. Just plant him, and let him know how it is going to go all day.

For most teams, when the QB goes down, their season goes down. The stupid keep a drive alive penalty when the D lineman hand barely brushes the QB helmet bother me. That's not football. I do think they need to eliminate the D line guy picking up the QB and driving him into the ground with combined weight. Start ejecting guys for hits like that. Immediate ejection and the next four full quarters of play after that. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
