Champ188
Great info, Bill. Thanks for sharing. As for the rain, you guys need to quit worrying, go get you some brightly colored 3/8-ounce War Eagle spinnerbaits --- anything from chartreuse/white to coleslaw with double white willows, depending on how muddy it gets --- and go find yourself a good runoff. Make sure you spool up with at least 17-pound mono. This ain't finesse fishing. Your favorite squarebill crank will work in these runoff areas, too. big c, JWT, BearFisher10 and 4 others

176champion
We use to troll a 1/8 oz white jig with a gold hook on it down in Florida to catch white bass, my son caught an 8 pounder on a zebco 202 with 20 pound test mono on it, he fought it for like 20 minutes and the drag on the reel could not hold the fish...lol...had to back boat up several times so he could get line back...he was about 12 years old then.. That's really good especially since the world record white is 6lb 13 oz. It had to be either a wiper or a striper. Either way, that's a loft of fish for a 12 year old on a 202! It was a stripe bass which we also called white bass, sorry for the confusion. trythisonemv 1 I know everything about nothing and know nothing about everything! edyer
OH Boy! It hit 62 degrees here in Michigan and melted most of the 10 inches of snow we had last Wednesday. WHat will these fish be doing when I get down there on March 31? Will they be spawning by then? Crazy how fast things are changing every where. We might hit Lake St. Clair for smallmouths:) Good luck on the Rock guys. I hope you don't get too much rain.
Bill Babler
Looks like we might have gotten lucky. It rained about 1/4 here at the lodge yesterday and that has been it. I can see some stars this AM. Champ188 and big c 2 http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
