MOPanfisher Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 That Simms is a good looking boot, but at $180 it should. bkbying89 1
moguy1973 Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 Dang, I'll deal with a few rocks in my shoes for that price. I have some Teva Evo water shoes that suit me fine in my kayak even if they get a few rocks in them. -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson
RSBreth Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 We would think between Al, me and ten other guys going back to the old days of RiverSmallies we have a pair that works but like Al said when I find something they discontinue it. I've been using these, but need a new pair after two years.http://www.academy.com/shop/pdp/foreverlast-mens-flats-boots?repChildCatid=389410 Two years isn't too bad though.
Pat Magee Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 You should try Jesus sandals. They are perfect because you will actually walk ON the water! All kidding aside. I have a pair of Simms zip up wading boots that are fantastic on just about every surface. The only downfall is (like Al said) they smell after awhile but so did just about every pair of shoes I wore as wading shoes. I think the worst part is the ridiculous tan line you get after a day of wearing them!

I did see some shoes by Simms and other makers for quite a bit less that would fit the bill. I'm interested because I need a pair. My problem is feet so wide they act like snowshoes in the winter. If I could run fast enough I could probably run on top of the water like a Jesus lizard.
Ryan Walker Posted June 19, 2016 Posted June 19, 2016 I picked up a pair of Simms Intruder wet wading boots. Could not be happier. Built in gravel guard, very light and comfy. Will accept cleats or studs, and they wear like hiking boots. Little more expensive, but well worth the money.. https://www.simmsfishing.com/shop/wading-boots/intruder-boot.html
