I'm gonna be honest here and say I'm late to the party and never fished this Ned rig thing before. What size is a good all around weight to carry? Does super glue deter bass from biting? What type of line to use and what weight? Sorry so many questions, I'm fairly new to the ned party. And can I buy them at a local store anywhere? Or are they made to order only? I kinda need a few for this weekend. I haven't been able to make the search function find "Ned" or "Ned Rig" since the update/upgrade. It's like it won't search for three letter words. Super glue doesn't hurt the bite a bit, on the little rig or any other bait. Saves you a mint on keitechs, grubs, etc. Six pound line, and 1/16 & 1/8 ounce heads are basic. Both sizes will do things the other won't. Stick it on something like a drop shot rod, and try not to feel it. Throw it, let it sink, and watch birds and squirrels on the bank. Fin and Feather in Springfield stocks them, as well as the Zman baits. John even has the loctite glue . Closer pic... mixermarkb, abkeenan, Ron Burgundy and 1 other 4

And how to set the hook (do you count to 3 then jerk, immediate jerk, just load up and reel, etc)?
Macsimus Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 Dang fine product! Gitch ya some. "There was a time that I didn't fish, but I cannot remember it."

Dave's jig heads rock. I have another coming today from Dave. Flouro, sometimes they hammer it right when it hits the water other times they just swim off with it. Reel down let the rod load up on them. At least that's what works for me.

I keep experimenting with braid, but am still not sold that it's better, except in longevity. Most fish just pick it up and sit there with it. You'll feel them when you pick up slack to bump it. Of course they will do other things with it too. I hammer them. I've lost too many trying to reel into them. chi0082 and mixermarkb 2

Don caught me on a swing and miss. Ham can attest to the head splitting potential of it. https://youtu.be/rRittZrKpkA Learn what your line, rod, and reel are capable of, and use them for it. That six pound Invizx is some seriously strong string. abkeenan 1
