nice champ I like it.  I've always used a spoon because you can get it down deeper and you can cast it a long way. I agree that you shouldn't waste much time in that area but is worth a cast or two

Had some good success the past few mornings on a white or silver Dixie jet.  Been putting a stinger on them and had some doubles this morning

If you work that spoon like a jerk bait with short pauses it looks fantastic going through the water.
