Al Agnew Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 I've caught a few that were getting close to 12 inches, but I once saw a kid catch one on opening day of trout season in Maramec Spring Park that I'm certain was at least 14 inches. He was carrying it around asking people what kind of fish it was. trythisonemv 1
trythisonemv Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 Dad caught one out of niangua over fourteen inches. I have caught a few twelve or larger.

Wouldn't surprise me if they are in Canada as well. The first one I ever saw (was living in the Northwest at the time) was on a trip in Ontario. We were a three-hour boat ride north of International Falls.
Seth Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 Swindle caught a big one on Bassmater LIVE yesterday afternoon too.
ollie Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 Ask anyone who has fished with me, I am the Google Eye KING! lol Really, I have caught a ton of those buggers and lots of them over 12". All out of streams around here. Sometimes I can't seem to keep them off my line. MOsmallies Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 I had an 8" goggle eye as a pet in college... He could eat 10 goldfish quicker than you could blink your eye. Very cool fish for the tank cause they change colors all the time.
fishinwrench Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 I've caught some dooseys. The biggest looked to be crossed with a Smallie. I have a pic somewhere, if I can find it I'll post it up.

BilletHead Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 Ollie seems like a good problem to have, Chief is going to take Mrs. BilletHead and I sometime when we can make it work. We will be throwing flys though. Don't know if he can put up with two of us doing that .
