It's very breathable.  One of the things I like about it.  I can't figure out how it blocks the wind, retains heat, but you aren't smothering.  I don't worry about the science, though, so long as it works.

Let me know what you think.  I tell everyone about it because I consider it a great find.  First learned of them fishing with a buddy of ours who's a guide at Broken Bow in Oklahoma.  He took us fishing and was wearing one.  Every company seems to some version of the same thing, but I'm sold on this one.  I have the base layer tops and bottoms in the Infrared, too.

I just purchased a couple of infrared mock pullovers a couple of weeks ago (the regular pullover - not the base layer) as well as two pair of infrared golf pants.  I am beyond impressed with both.  In fact, I haven't even worn the pants for golf yet but constantly wear them around the house and around town just because they're so danged comfortable.  Super soft lining and great fit.  Almost like wearing sweats in my opinion!

Ditto for the pullovers.  Really block the wind and are plenty warm layered outdoors but not too hot too wear indoors.  Pretty good stuff if you ask me.

Can't wait to try the "buff" without actually having to admit I own one!

Good to hear.  Oh, and I'd much rather say I'm wearing a buff than a balaclava.  What?  I'm wearing a dessert on my head (baklava).  Get redneck like Champ188 and just call it a head sock.

Was at LOZ Sunday, nice cloudy rainy day, started with a jerk bait, caught a few, no keepers, got sidetracked on those darn whites, then threw the rock crawler in the afternoon, caught a nice mess but only 1 keeper. Scaled showed 3-6. So, yes, the jerk, wart bite should be coming.

son and i both wear the wraps..love them and they come in Carolina Blue..!!!  i hate the cold and last couple of trips they have really been nice...and keep sun off during summer without burning you up..
