Woke up this morning at 0600 to brewing coffee.  By the time I took my quick shower and brushed my tooth, boats were running and I mean a bunch of them.  By daybreak I could count 8 from our Eagles View here at the Lodge.  They are continuing to run.  Mostly and I have not yet looked out the spotting scope, but they seem to be wrapped and Power Pole boats.  Whazz Up?

Don't know surface  temp here in front of the lodge but the last few days there has been lots and lots of gulls diving the water.  Crossed the LC bridge going to town yesterday and from the bridge to Gages, they were just thick hitting the water all over that stretch.

Did someone say shad kill?

Lots of stuff to do here at the Lodge, so I will not be out till next week.  If your on the pond keep is posted.

Good Luck

Man, talk about living the dream.  Most guys are lucky if they get a new tie or some underwear every year - but you get body parts!  Wow.  Must be nice.

I would guess that all the wrapped/power poll/jersey wearing boats are the FLW boys. Have their 150 boat tourny on Feb.25th and I believe they aren't allow to pre-fish inside of 30 days from tournament start. So this would be the last weekend they can get some time on the water in. Just a guess. Doubt the 30 boat Winter Series out of Mill Creek this weekend would cause that much of a disturbance down here on the lower end.

As far as the tooth Bill. Next time you "go to town" hang a right, instead of a left, from UU and in 15 minutes there are plenty of teeth for free laying all over. Arkansas folk don't much care for teeth and are always loosing them.

The wife and I were fishing Brushy Thursday afternoon. Water temp was 48 deg. We did not see any gulls. Only picked up 1 spot on a spoon.

Brushy used to be good. I feel like the last 5 or so years it has just been hammered relentlessly and is not what it once was. Isn't a lure made that those fish haven't seen.

Here on the upper end, we face this fact less often. Come up here and enjoy. You and 50 others still do not equal the tournament load.

No doubt, on top of that, your a guide for a living and own a resort! Talk about got it made!

Most people are lucky to go fishing on Table Rock 5-15 times a year!
