Mercury lifting ring

I was wondering if anyone knew where I can rent or borrow a lifting ring for my pro xs 150

 

id hate to spend $30 for a one time thing.

 

need to move my motor up and straps scare me.

Yeah don't use straps.   I have one you could borrow for a day, or you could swing by here with the boat and use my ring and hoist free of charge.... But unless you are in the Lake O area for what it would cost you in fuel you could just buy one.   

Heck I could use another one, so go ahead and buy one, use it, then I will buy it from you when you're done.   Deal?

Actually if you are just moving the motor up a hole or two, and have a helper, you can do it using the tilt/trim, or the the trailer tongue jack and a few blocks of wood under the skeg.    I've done that at the boat ramp many times.

I borrowed a lifting eye from a boat shop this last time to pull my power head..i did find the lifting eye and flywheel puller on amazon for 37 dollars which i think im going to buy since i do all my own work.

Thank you for the offer wrench.  I was able to borrow one from a very helpful shop in nixa.  

 

Got it it moved last night. Now need to get it to the lake.
