I do play a little golf...got the Pings a few years ago and they serve me well...all though I do embarrass them at times  While I do play for pop change I am just happy that I can net out when it comes to the number of balls that I started with and finished with! I spend more time fishing than golfing now a days.

I am a bit to competitive, so I am told, for most sports / games....my wife likes to tell the story as to how I wouldn't let my kids win at chutes and ladders....I call it teaching them about life... and uncoordinated for things like BBall...and just dont like baseball.....and soccer is mind numbing to me!!

I am all for a golf get together.....but can we at least move it a bit north?

Heck - I think that I have spent enough at BP this year alone (yeah I know - if this were the BBC another 30 + post on that evil empire!!) that I might qualify as a share holder and get us on that fancy course there on TableRock!

Sometimes i wish i did like sports, it would make everyday conversations easier when people ask me about "THE" game.  I just have to look them in the eye and say i dont have a clue what they are talking about.   They usually think i am some kind of weirdo

You are approaching this all wrong - - all you have to do is say " no kidding right?" or "wow is all I can say" and usually they take it from there! You nod and smile and you are good to go ;)

I'd probably fish more. But I'd end up fishing more when I didn't want to anyway.

Just don't make me watch soccer. I'd rather watch baseball, and it's borderline intolerable.

I played the 3 big sports (baseball, basketball and football).  I wasn't particularly good at any of them. So anything outside of that was for girls or wimps. Hated soccer with a passion. I was stubborn and hardheaded about other sports until I turned about 25. Then for whatever reason I found an appreciation for just about all sports including futbol...aka soccer. EPL, World Cup....fantastic. Having trouble going to sleep at night? Watch some cricket matches from Australia, India and Sri Lanka. Lights out. Great stuff.

I played football in high school. Defensive end in south Oklahoma. Didn't play my senior year because I was so banged up. 3rd knee surgery a couple of years ago, knee replacement is next. And yes, I would do it all over again.

I'd rather mow grass on a beautiful late April Tuesday than watch soccer.

I get it. You're a checkers guy more-so than a chess guy.

Any shoeless crumb snatcher in any of the various third world diaper fires can kick a wad of socks.

I'll take a sport that requires actual equipment. And where no one is satisfied with a 0-0 tie.

Yep. Tore the rotator cuff working linebacker drills last fall. Beat the team we were getting ready for in the regular season (first time Leavenworth beat them), and in the playoffs. Linebackers met the fullback every play, shut down their offset I inside zone game. Couldn't handle our speed on the flanks when they were forced horizontal.

Would tear it again tomorrow...

My kids played soccer and it sucked -  mostly because of the other parents where all crazy about their kids. Nonstop yelling at the kids and the refs. Drove me nuts. I would have rather watched paint dry. Don't get me wrong - I enjoyed watching my kids but ..... it was soccer.
