Duane and I started fishing this morning about 8:30 and finished at 6 pm.  We worked hard for 7 crappie and 9 big gills.  Most caught on brush in 10-15 feet of water.  Did the best fishing a jig and float using a 1/32nd ounce brown/orange/orange headed jig.  4-6 feet deep.  Didn't even catch that many shorts either.  Did catch some stinkin' bass.  Fished from Mincy to Cedar Creek.  Water temp 59 most places, as high as 60.

I was down last weekend and was able to fish for crappie on Sunday when the wind finally died down.  we are more mid lake close to Diamond City.  Caught 8 but all were over 13" with 1 @ 16".  my biggest ever!  10-15' on swimming minnows and a couple including the 16" on a 2.8 Keitech.  I'll see if I can post a pic.  No brush, just boulders on a point in spawning cove. When do you think they will move to the banks?

I trolled upper K Dock for one pass over the two upper cuts before Phil arrived and picked up 2 bass, one keeper crappie, one short crappie, one blue gill, and 2 whites. Now all that was in about 15-20 minutes. We should have went back to that, but I wanted to check some things out down the lake. We tried trolling again later in the day after the sun came out and only caught one stinking bass.
