Waited out the storm in a carwash while uncovering the boat and getting in our rain gear. Think we finally splashed 10:30 or so. Had a real good day. I'll let Champ188 fill in the details. Senko, Ned and shaky head did most of the damage with a few on top water and swim bait. 66-68 WT. 96 CHAMP Posted April 17, 2017 Posted April 17, 2017 I had 5 keepers on the senko today, one on shakey head, lost 2 very nice ones, story of our life heh! My best fish came on bluff type banks with shelf type large rock along main channel. Caught a bunch of 14 3/4- 7/8". Was fortunate to see Champ and his wife on the lake again, great people they are!! vernon, Champ188, Donna G and 1 other 4
Champ188 Posted April 17, 2017 Posted April 17, 2017 Not a lot to add to Donna's report ... lots of other accounts of hot action Sunday. We ended up somewhere just north of 50 total, best 5 around 15-16 pounds. Fished between Shell Knob and Baxter and caught fish in water ranging from a foot to 105 feet deep. Ned, Senko, spinnerbait, shaky head, swimbait and a couple of topwater offerings all got in on the action. As always, it was good to see 96 CHAMP enjoying one of is sojourns to Pla-Port. A good dude indeed. Make sure to look him up at next Saturday's hootenanny. Went to see my duck buddy again. He's a granola bar-eating machine. Alex Heitman, Quillback, Muddy Water and 6 others 9
Hunter91 Posted April 17, 2017 Posted April 17, 2017 Looks like the duck that followed my son and I around a week ago near Baxter. He was eating our snack crackers then. Glad he moved to something healthier Donna G and Champ188 2
