vernon Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 Man, I don't know if I'd bet on that just yet. All these suckers might be closed next weekend. mixermarkb 1 "Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups." George Carlin "The only money ever wasted is money never spent." Me.
aarchdale@coresleep.com Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 We may have to make our own launch ramp.

Royal Blue Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 We're supposed to fish next Saturday in a big derby on Bull. I'm now wondering if it'll even happen a week later.

fishinwrench Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 Are they now going to start taking it easier on the anglers, before they start taking it easier on the fish ? ? Millennials! mixermarkb and vernon 2
vernon Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 Man, that just seems nuts to me to put all of those people working that event in that kind of danger just so those guys can go catch some fish. Between lightning and flash flooding this just doesn't pass the common sense test in my opinion. But as usual, what do I know? Fishing is really important after all. mixermarkb, Donna G, Hunter53 and 2 others 5 "Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups." Well....think of it this way: We buy boats that can handle the roughest water that mother nature can dish out. We equip these boats with high power trolling motors, powerful outboards, GPS/sonar, and 700GPH bilge pumps. We buy outstanding rain gear and PFD's, things to protect our eyes and faces so we can run through heavy rain and hailstorms. And we buy specialized baits for high and muddy water. We even have punch baits for fishing heavy mats of debris. To do all of this just to fish on Golden Pond would be kinda rediculous, no? Wait.....I think I just heard thunder ??? aarchdale@coresleep.com 1

I already scored an extremely rare Saturday off and high water at Bull Shoals is never a bad thing. Chocolate milk sucks to fish in, but having all of that cover in play could be awesome. And I've become a get off my lawn old man, I'll never be confused for a millennial.
