Ive bought carpet for my last 2 boats at a place just south of Chestnut on Kansas on the east side of the road after you go under the bridge by MUELLERS.   its next door to that tint place.

I just ordered mine from bassboatseats . Com on Friday.  It's 16oz, found some here local but didn't compare.

Found some real good treated 2x4s at the lumber yard, going to wrap them and do the swap this weekend hopefully

I don't know how cheap this would be but I have seen people swap would for plastic, I assume they put metal under it but my guess is that it would last forever.

I ordered mine off amazon for a decent price when I had to put new bunks on mine last year. But it looks like it's gone up about $8 a roll since I bought it.

Like dan said above, if you don't want to carpet it and want a more permanent solution I've seen people start to use the 2x4 composite decking boards for their bunks.  They let the boat slide right up and right off the trailer a lot easier from what I've seen. And they won't rot like a regular bunk board.  It's a little more expensive from the get go but the bolts are going to rust out before the bunks will.

Them's better directions than I've ever gotten from my GPS!

Not as good as Siri tho, vernon. I see he lives in Springfield so figured he knows my local directions.  Kinda like take a left at the big rock with a point on the top, go 2 miles to the tree with a fork in it, then north to the old red barn thats now brown.

You're right about the price jump. I just bought the 8" wide carpet for $14 a few months ago when I re-did my bunks.

First of all.  Ketchups directions were flawless.

2nd - the place is called "thrifty carpet factory outlet"

they had 2 kinds of boat carpet. A lite and heavy weight options

Lite $1 a foot

heavy $1.30

i chose the heavier option and got a 4'x8' piece that only cost $44.38 with tax.

very pleased with ketchups recommendation

thank you ketchup.

Great Brandon.  Glad you found the place.  Sorry i couldnt remmber the name.  If you need any help, hollar.  Or if you need any treated wood, im sure i have enough to give ya.

But with a last name like that, and if your related to the guys at Cowherd Construction off of Republic Rd, im sure you can get plenty.
