Ok, here is my question? Yall have talked about the save Table Rock website, but no body has really said yes or no to whether they are trying to hurt or help. I value the opinions of those of you around the lake and will do what I can to support the worthy causes. I will write to our senators and congress people to tell them my thoughts, but should this petition they are sending be trusted to uphold what we as fisherman and conservation minded individuals be  supported. Thanks

"Brought to you by the Tri-Lakes Board of Realtors".   Tells me everything I need to know.  I didn't and won't sign it.  Nearly everything they oppose on their petition seems to be against growth, cutting vegetation, more boat docks, no docks in 8' or less, dock modification every 5 years, etc.   Basically, throw rules and regs out and don't limit our ability to sell more lots/land. To give the Corps some credit, they are trying to reduce the slip size from 14' x 30' to 12' x 30'.  12' x 28' would be better, but.... it's a start.

- My point is to set rules on the size and types of boats on TR to help keep it from becoming LOZ and limit the numbers of docks on the lake until ALL of the slips on current docks are being used.  There are so many empty stalls on the 20 slip docks........  There are rules for the road to include speed limits, vehicle size, etc.  $Long and $$$Blunt stood on the side of the realtors when they interjected themselves into the Shoreline Mgmt Plan of the Corps.  Still amazes me $Long ran on the moto "Fed Up".  Seems to have been co-opted within 1 year siding with big money to protect his job.  Not a Republican or Democrat thing as both sides do it and we get left behind.  Principle.  Oh never mind just hold on to the gunnels a little tighter each year and understand you can't take your kids and grand kids to the dock during the summer because they get hurt from falling when the waves hit (like my 7 year did earlier this year on Grandpas' dock).

No, their goal is bigger and or the status quo. If your goal is saving the shoreline and limiting the size of vessels then savetablerock.com is not on the same side.

I'd like to thank my FUTURE sponsers: Falcon Rods, Jewel Bait Co, and Seagar

They are sneaky, underhanded S.O.B's. that only want to "save Table Rock" for the express purposes of more development,  larger docks/slips for more even bigger boats, and more ginormous, high-dollar homes that they can sell to collect their huge, undeserved commi$$ion$.

Don't know if you're aware that B. Long bought an older lakefront home off Hwy "H" in the  Lampe area this Winter to somewhat re-hab it and is currently trying to "flip" it for a wholly unreasonable price that only a moron or someone indirectly hiding a large contribution to his campaign ( oh my goodness, who would be unethical enough to do that ?) would buy for the asking price !

And why don't they require mufflers on those things (or do they and another rule ignored and not enforced).  I was fishing lower end the other day and one of those cigar boats passed on the other side of the lake (far away from me) and I couldn't believe how loud it was (the driver must need hearing protection)

Some years ago, the Water Patrol on LOZ was equipped with "decibel meters" (hope that's the correct term ) in an effort to control the ungodly noise levels from all the straight-exhaust, multi-engine show-off boats there.  Apparently, the Patrol on TR has none or won't use them.

Now, in addition to the show-off boats, we have the noise-loving boat owners with the "Captain's Call" engine exhaust that can bypass the underwater, through-the-hub exhaust at the flick of a switch so they can let everyone know they have an engine in their vessel and can annoy everyone with it.  More inconsiderate jerks !

I had one of those switchable exhaust-pass valves on my 1951 Chevy 6 banger when I was a kid - thought it was cool at the time - but I was just 16 - looking back it was stupid just like my Dad said it was at the time.

I was thinking this was the case, But I wanted to make sure I was not missing something. I will avoid this petition.
