Its also a bit concerning that folks advocate violence at the thought of keeping a bass to eat lol.

Ill also yatch slap the pee right outa of fishing buddies for a variety of reasons...not total strangers..the worst offense is peeing off the boat...if you gotta go tell me and we can find a bush on the bank, don't leave a scent trail where we are fishing to tell them we are here:o

Native Americans didn't have jet boats with 2 million candle power LED spotlights. Its hard to convince folks that illegal gigging is a huge problem who have never seen the carnage themselves. The country folk talk amongst themselves and know who's doing it. There's absolutely no denying it.

I agree....metal gigs, 20 foot poles..warm modern light weight cloths

I'm curious as to why only Republicans are the threat to our streams. Most anglers and conservation minded people are more than likely Republicans.

people are people...I typically vote conservative...yet I would have jail time for environmental violations

almost as concerning as your comprehension of a satirical statement, unless of course you are joking

How did missouri streams used to be like?  I am pretty sure that missouri streams have NEVER been free of giggers.  Even before Europeans colonized them, the native americans gigged before they angled.   Republicans are a WAY bigger threat to Missouri streams than giggers.

I totally and completely disagree and I have no idea where u came up with this. It's a blatant attempt at turning this thread nasty

The thread has already turned nasty.

Have you all considered this? Our lack of wardens being able to be everywhere at once is a problem. We seemed to be stressed this way and everyone I think will agree with this. We also have a problem with the lawless in places. Again all we complain about is the ones doing it wrong and not right. If season is closed you are inviting more law breakers. There are folks that enjoy breaking laws and do so just because they can. So telling them they cannot keep a few river bass is going to make them crazy to say the least. Remember telling a child not to touch something? First thing they do is touch it. Same thing for some adolescents. Tell them not to smoke, drink, have sex, do drugs. They are going to do it anyway. So to the ones who know keep a few river bass brown or green, Tell them no and the bass will die anyway. Education and a change of thought will be the answer. My opinion only and if I get told I am going to get yatch slapped whatever that means I am going ballistic. And for ones who want to know I pee out of my boat and have no problem catching fish. Actually I catch bigger female fish when I do,

You all should take a chill pill I think :)

I wish I had a chill pill.  Those who try to yatch slap folks sometimes wind up in worse shape than someone who got slapped on their yatch.  Buy a plastic ball bat, cut off the ends and suddenly  you have a pee funnel and no longer have to slap any yatches.

Billet makes a good point about telling people they can't do something and they will want to do it.

I think we all just want more bass.

Not my fault for once that a thread turned nasty

Thanks, I think :) .    We all should think long and hard. When we loose a right for something it is harder to get it back the next time.  I am becoming a believer thinking now we must be careful what we wish for. Some things cannot be undone.
