I remember Mo Carp creeping on our local hunting//fishing board in Nebraska 7-8 years ago.  Sadly it is down now, otherwise I would link his threads from that board here just so you can see that many of the "new" threads that he has posted here are virtually identical in topic and content to threads he posted there.  Same topics, same pictures, same "how to" articles.  Mo Carp is truly the king of "cut and paste".

what lake? do you still fish there? 20 pounds is normal? :o

There has been Buffalo Bow Fished over 40 pounds. Most Bow Fishing hit the shallow water in the coves. Me yes I chum, wait for them to start feeding, then cast in the deeper water and I use 3 plain Medium Action Rods with 12# test Line. I fish more Creeks they are the real easy ones. I start out with 3 rods doesn't take long to back off to two.

One picture is my Grandson at the Creek by the House. We had been Catfishing with no Luck. Told him I could have him some fun. 10 minutes had his first small Carp but he was hooked.

I was in the process to move pictures from Photo Bucket. And for some reason I can't get all my pictures.

We can Carp mostly. When I was young we would bait Jugs for Catfish and Carp.

Most these are out of small creeks by where I use to live. Now I fish by my House for mostly Suckers, Goggle Eye and Trout.

I guess I'm probably the only one that finds it extremely ironic that we have a resident poster that continually posts  extremely disparaging comments about those that have  dedicated their lives to the science and biology field and blatant misinformation about our conservation department is given cart blanc.

But if a guy post a few articles about Carp, we all lose our ever loving minds.

Just google "MOCarp fishing forum." The guy's been on dozens of them- Nebraska, Iowa, Texas, Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois, Mississippi.  Banned from a couple of them.

Nothing if not dedicated.

Interesting. Not the MoCarp part but some of these carp forums are interesting. Seem like some good guys with some good knowledge on the subject.

I don't feel like "disparaging" is accurate.

They are worth alot, I just don't know that they are worth the amount they take.

Why is it not acceptable to be disappointed and critical when everything I care the most about gets half-assed, while stuff that myself and very few others care anything about gets the mass of the funding and attention thrown at it ?

I'd feel the same way about a wife that went shopping with my checkbook and only got a weeks worth of food that nobody wanted to eat, and spent the rest of the months grocery allotment on a pair of shoes that she'll only wear once for 2 hours.

I still have spies there as we speak, and those of you from there on OAF who say "lets run MoCarp outa OAF too"....perhaps I should post screen shots, that NE forum is no longer state run, but still there....tell Tweedy Chap hello for me ;)

I have no issues with harvest of carp, in fact some selective harvest helps the big fish...I would prefer people release the big fish to get bigger, but even today people will eat a 7#  trout and 5#  bass, I won't lose sleep over it.....at least your having fun catching fish

some of the best fishermen I ever met are carp fishermen, most like me started out fishing for everything else....carp became the ultimate challengeI keep an quote from Al Lindner from a walleye Inc interview when he was leaving In-Fisherman he said;

Quote

Al Lindner :``I've been putting a lot of time into carp, trying to figure out how to catch them,'' he continued. '`And I've been doing extremely well. It's a fascinating fish, and most people don't realize you can catch them on purpose.''
