We text as mentioned and we also have a live leaderboard with weights in real time that refreshes every 15 seconds on your phone.

Can others other than participants get these texts?

I'm not sure you want them, I fished it last year and this week I must have received 10 messages telling me I need to hurry up and enter.

You can always opt out of our text system by replying STOP to any text.  Once you do that though, you'll have to manually re-enter yourself at some point if you want them again.

And yes, the week of the event you're going to get texts throughout the week/weekend.

Quill,  I saw that too. Patlock and I went fun fishing Saturday and happened into that no name cove he is famous for. Many boats parked on every point. We did manage to catch 5 fish. All keepers but no huge size. Moonshine’s parking lot looked like a summer weekend.

I see one of the Keenan bros is 4th overall, and 2nd in one of the hourly weigh-ins.

That was me (Andrew) but have gone by my middle name (Brett) since birth. Brother caught some but a 2.50 was the highest he could muster. I was lucky enough to cash twice (5.24 and 3.75) during the event. I can't emphasize LUCKY enough. Per usual it was a great event. As always during the drive back to STL, already looking forward to next year. Not sure on the total amount of entries this year but I heard another angler say it was around 900. I believe last year was around 600+. Event is really growing. Hopefully they make it a 3 day event next year! Was talking to a staff member on Thursday in Springfield and he said that's a possibility. Thanks again to the BBT staff who run a class act.

Funny. Didn't receive a text to gain granted access to said no name cove. Hmmmm.

I heard someone mention 900 entrants as well. But can't find any numbers in print. 12th place doesn't seem too bad if there's 900+ contestants.
