jdmidwest Posted December 15, 2017 Posted December 15, 2017 https://www.livescience.com/61206-ancient-fishhooks-found-in-burial.html Amazing, fish hooks found in an ancient grave of a woman in Indonesia. This is the earliest evidence of fish hooks in a grave burial found to date. They go on and on about it and they try to connect it to a woman of stature and its importance to history. I have a different theory. We may have found the first sport fisherman, her husband. He may have been in such a hurry to get her in the ground and buried so he could get back to fishing and dropped a few hooks doing it. Maybe she was royalty and worth alot. He inherited her wealth and had so much fishing gear he made her a necklace just to show her how much he loved her out of it...... BilletHead Posted December 15, 2017 Posted December 15, 2017 Mrs. BilletHead has been reading some of the posts on here. She says she wants to be buried with her fillet knife and a gig. She heard at the swap meet there is an unlimited supply of smallmouth with out yellow grubs in their meat. . 1 minute ago, Flysmallie said: Spotted bass Carp, BilletHead Daryk Campbell Sr 1 "We have met the enemy and it is us", Pogo If you compete with your fellow anglers, you become their competitor, If you help them you become their friend" Lefty Kreh " Never display your knowledge, you only share it" Lefty Kreh "Eat more bass and there will be more room for walleye to grow!" jdmidwest Posted December 15, 2017 Author Posted December 15, 2017 I have never had an issue with the Kentuckies. We had a great day on the TN River out of Saltillo about a month ago catching them. They seem to get along with the other bass in that system. "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Thompson
tjm Posted December 15, 2017 Posted December 15, 2017 Quick peek at the net for Indonesia fishing, doesn't mention spotted bass? It did say game-fish so that would explain no carp on the list. fishinwrench Posted December 15, 2017 Posted December 15, 2017 I'd say that the old dead gal from Indo was quite likely a very popular mermaid. https://io9.gizmodo.com/5802301/how-to-have-sex-with-a-mermaid
