Guys and Gals,

I have gone ahead and set up the official Ozark Anglers private league for this years BASS Fantasy Fishing League. All OAF members are encouraged and welcome to join. It's simple to join, play and does not require much time or effort. Just be sure to enter a team each and every tournament and you will be fine. Takes less than 5 min to fill out a roster each event.  IF you would like to join our league you are AGREEING TO SEND 1 BAIT OF YOUR CHOOSING AT YEAR END, REGARDLESS IF YOU WIN OR NOT.  Baits should be kept in the $5-10 value range. Was a lot of fun last year and I think it went well. I hope that everyone that was on the "winners list" received a bait from those that were supposed to send them. **** If anyone last year did not receive a bait from a participant last year please PM me as we will DISALLOW them this year.**** This was and is on the honor system but we need to weed out the deadbeats going forward.

If you want to join our league PM me direct to get the password to be able to enter to league (done this way to keep randoms entering the league since this is a widely viewed public forum).

You must register here if you are new to fantasy fishing: http://bassmasterfantasy.com/

Please use your same handle on the fantasy fishing league as you have here on the OAF. Makes it easier.

Lets have a great year and looking forward to getting redemption after last years shortcomings.

-Brett

How To Play

Check out the FAQ for answers to some of the more frequently asked questions.

Registration

To enter, fill out the free registration form on Bassmasterfantasy.com. After registering, click on the “Create Team” button on the game’s front page to participate in the game. After registering, you are ready for Fantasy Fishing Challenge. A valid email address and password will be used as an identifier to log in to game play and to keep track of your team’s score and standing. You will be able to see your team’s score any time you return to the game with your email and password.

Assembling your Team

To assemble your team, first select an angler slot in the ‘Available Anglers’ panel on the right side of the screen. Then, select an individual angler from the free agent list by clicking the green + button icon next to his name. Repeat the process until you have selected five (5) anglers (one from each group). Adds and drops are saved automatically.

Note: In order to receive points, your roster must contain 5 anglers.

Setting your Tie-breaker

Enter a tie-breaker guess at the bottom of the ‘Roster’ panel on the left side of the My Team page. Click the ‘Edit’ button and enter your estimate for how much weight for the full tournament, in pounds and ounces, that the winner will catch. Then click the ‘Save’ button.

Changing Anglers

After completing your team, you can still change anglers each week as you set your strategy for that week’s tournament. To alter your roster, click on the red ‘-‘ Drop buttons to the right of the anglers in the ‘Roster’ panel on your My Team page. Choose your replacements from the free agency list of available anglers in order to add or drop an angler from your current roster in the same transaction. All roster changes must be completed by the scheduled tournament start time (approximately 6:00am).

Ab - pass word please :)

I am ready to hold up the bottom of the group by forgetting to set my rosters timely!

I was thinking for those of us who are forgetful shouldn't we get some kind of participation ribbon, buff or maybe spot us a few pounds to get started? Or not....

Thanks Ab - Nice prizes for sure....I took the time to actually read the small print....there sure is alot of responsibility if you are the Grand Prize winner....that may push me away from trying to be the GP winner.....I am not normally that responsible....at least that is what Mrs. C4F tells me......she just uses different words like "quit acting like a child" or just looks at me and says "really?" :)

I sent Baits to my guy but never got confirmation from the recipient. Hopefully he got them. I enjoy doing Fantasy fishing. Just another avenue for members to bond. Thanks for doing it.

Make sure you sign up for other groups like Tackle Warehouse and others too as most have prizes for the weekly top points as well as a nice overall winner of the group prize at the end!

This clause worries me:

including any travel and transportation costs associated with collecting the Grand Prize. All other costs not specifically stated herein as being awarded are the responsibility of the Grand Prize winner.

The good news is you won a boat, the bad news is that it is located at our BPS dealership in Siberia.
