Flysmallie Posted December 17, 2020 Posted December 17, 2020 One of my friends in the local music scene is getting some traction with this. He’s an amazing guitarist.

Down the river, On the border, enough rope, and countless others are just amazing songs. wily 1 everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.

Funny, all my family, including Aunts, Uncles on both sides loved LW and Hee Haw. Definitely a WW2 gen thing. That wholesome stuff resonated to folks that had been through some tough situations I’m sure. I also heard a story about a guy in Viet Nam who would go to a theatre and watch The Sound of Music to relieve his tension. He said during his deployment he watched it over 100 times. It helped him get through the ordeal. bfishn 1 "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
ColdWaterFshr Posted December 17, 2020 Posted December 17, 2020 Lawrence Welk and Hee Haw were the cornerstone of what we were forced to endure to watch in the early to mid-70's. Lawrence Welk and the Champagne Lady, wow, I don't know how I survived. Hee Haw at least kept my attention for the always buxom gals. And I will never forget this song. Gloom, despair, and agony on me-e! Deep dark depression, excessive misery-y! If it weren't for bad luck I'd have no luck at all! Gloom, despair, and agony on me-e-e! BilletHead, ness and bfishn 3
