One day near Salinas, Lord

I let her slip away

Lookin for that home I hope she finds

I’d trade all my tomorrows

for a single yesterday

Holding Bobby’s body close to mine.

Freedom’s just another word for

Nothin left to lose

Nothin ain’t worth nothin

but it’s free

Mitch do you prefer the original Kris K version or the Janice J cover version. I'm a JJ fan for that that song😉.

I was just thinking about that this morning…they both are great in their own way. Superb lyrics

I was fixing a snack the other night with Andy Griffith  on the tele, you may remember the one where the cute county nurse enticed Andy to convince ol' Rafe  Hollister into getting his tetanus vaccine... Pretty funny, because every angle of that  show is paralleled today.

Anyway , turns out ol' Rafe had a pretty good set of pipes on him;

I first heard this in a club in downtown Providence, RI. He was still doing club gigs then. A year or two later he was a headliner at the school's Spring music fest.
