I just use double uni knot on nanofil to leader for trout setup.  Occasionally it will break when cinching down but if it cinches fine I have never broken it later on a fish or snag.

Uni to uni is ok, but it's a short fat knot that hits every guide on the way out. So, it's functional, but I can't stand it.

I "right" knot is like the right strike indicator. There are things I dislike about every one I've ever used, but I'll be glad to share the knots I know.

I use 5 or 6 knots a lot.

It is good to know that others have trouble tying all of these wild-posterior knots we now use.  I went through my fingers with a saw and tying knots is the thing I dislike the most about what we do.

And why do we "tie" a knot (with an 'I") but are "tying" a knot (with a "Y")?

I’m dying to know the answer to that! 😄
