Picked up this guy in the back of Music on 3/10/18. No doubt an escapee from last year's floods. Wasn't sure if I needed a trout permit or not, so back he went.

I almost posted you wouldn't have to have a permit but... I don't know.  I don't think you would if you were in Missouri and caught it.  Arkansas I don't know.  I doubt it though.

Absolutely.  Or a tag from a trout park.

Fish 24/7 has caught a couple of those in Bull over the years fishing with me. They show from time to time...lol

It was pretty stingy to me, but that's not usually the case!

That could have been from the flooding or a remnant from old stocking. Rainbow Trout were stocked in Bull Shoals Lake up to 2014.

For the Arkansas side, you would need a trout stamp to harvest a trout from the lake.

Here is a 22.75 inch Brown Trout that we collected while sampling black bass in Music Creek, last night.

Wow! Forgive my trout ignorance, but is that fat belly eggs or all shad? What a pretty fish!
