What????  I was about to hit your shop up for a sponsorship so i could afford to come fish a day with ya. That $5.00 sponsorship would get you a mention on this site, as well as a chance for you to ride in my boat and adjust anything mechanically that may need it, of course i wouldnt charge you for that service.

I get what you were saying.  I was just speaking for the masses, and didnt want them thinking derbys add nothing to a local economy.  We all know thats bassakwards.

TinBoats BassClub.  An aluminum only bass club. If interested in info send me a PM.

Oh that gets done almost on a weekly basis.  If you see a boat, or a shirt, with "Sims Marine" plastered on it be sure to stop and say hey.....cuz it's Me.  :D

If the masses only knew how much meth, crank, and coke use there was in competitive fishing maybe they'd look at it with slightly more awaken eyes.

I was just thinking about driving 3 hours one way up to wrenches and get my complementary tune up and lower unit service and 10 bucks and a shirt for a sponsorship from him..

I know everything about nothing and know nothing about everything!

I say that EVERY outing at TR, you can ask any of our club guys.

That being said, those people who fun fish area lakes, stay because they are fishing for food, family time, and fun, that have zero interest in tournaments, are still going to do so, no matter what.  That being said, you said the derbys could actually hurt the area in the long run?  Please explain more.  So if those fun angler guys are there no matter what, spending money, how does derby guys ADDING when they come, ever hurt an area? I guarantee you that without the income to any lake area in this nation, that tournament people bring in, there would not be as many tackle shops, ma-pa motels, public access areas "yes i said that", small eatery places, etc. if tournaments were to stop.  Luckily for myself, and the hundreds of thousands of others that enjoy them, they are not going anywhere in my lifetime.

Who cares about having all the motels, restaurants and such? Tournament fishermen? Those of us who live here don’t need em. We could do just fine with a lot less of them AND tournament fishermen.

That sounded harsh, but then again.....

I'd certainly like to trade about 62 restaurants and 110 bars for just one good grocery store.  Like to trade a good number of motels for a couple of nice campgrounds too.

The tackle shop owners here will tell ya that bass fishermen are cheap, and they make more selling crappie jigs and minnows than they do catering to the bass tournament crowd.  If tournaments brought that much money into the community you'd think that a good tackle shop could do ok.  They never seem to prosper though.   Lake O is the best tournament lake in the state, but even Mr. Morris, as business savy as he is, knows better than to put a store here.
