First impressions.....

I said "I wonder", Chief.  Wasn't pegging anybody.   God!  🙄

Alright, alright, sorry. Was just poking you a little bit. Maybe should have added a couple extra smileys.

We finally heard from her again this morning.  The area she is in now is beautiful.  No trash, still funky water, but very pretty scenery.     She caught a monk checking out her boobs.  She says people don't have a problem STARING there, it was pretty creepy for her at first but I guess that's just the way they are. Definitely getting some culture....which is good I guess.

Gavin:  You are right about Bull Sharks.

Try telling folks about the documented catch in the 1930's of a Bull Shark in the Mississippi all the way up just above the confluence with the Missouri and they don't believe.  A local Resort owner who ran a large Welding Shop in New Orleans that was high enough to stay dry during the Katrina flooding said those things were in the flooded streets of New Orleans.  Don't know whether to believe that or not but he also said they are known to be in Lake Pontchartrain.

There are a few videos of guys wade fishing and sharks swimming around them.  I think Captain Theophile Bourgeois has one from a guide trip with a shark swimming between his legs.

I've had two come within 5 foot of me. Both 5 to 6 feet in length.

The first time I ran one way and it ran the other. The second time was just like the first time. :)

I had one circle me while fly fishing in the Bahamas.  Looked like a reef shark and I backed up to the sand while it paced back and forth in front of me.  It wouldn't take a chartreuse/white clouser though.:)

I threw a buzzbait at a sunken "tractor tire" once that instantly transformed into a really pissed off 12' gator that swam angrily under my boat in 3 fow, bumping it and knocking me off my feet.

I nearly hyperventilated.  Can't imagine a scarier freshwater experience, so I'll leave the saltwater critters to you badasses.

This reminds me of the raccoons who come down on the dock at night to say hi.  Scared the crap out of one last time I was down because he never saw me and I was waiting for him to get comfy with his first snack before spooking him.
