Ok I've always liked Sonny's Blood Dip Bait, Carolina Rig, 30 pound Test Line.

Wanted Smaller Cleaner so picked up some Sudden Impact Punch Bait, Carolina Rig, 12 pound test line.

Catfish were not biting but what did, bit on the Sudden Impact.

It showed to be much Cleaner and worked.

I made a few stinkbaits a few weeks ago. Used a food processor. One is generic velveeta, jar of minced garlic, chicken livers, and sawdust. The other is tuna, sardines, chicken livers, jar of minced garlic, box of stuffing mix, sawdust. Tried some once at Truman last month. Too wet and mushy. Will dry it out some or thicken it up somehow and try again.

Remind me not to eat anything at your house out of the food processor...:D

I don't mean to tell you what to do, but unless you've raided the dumpster at an old market that has gone out of business you've just spent 10 times more money than a few jars of Sonny's costs, and you've trashed the house.

Sonny's flat works!

Where do I find this Sonny's you folks speak of? Would like to try it.

Dishes cleaned up well. Not a stinky mess. However, the stuff has a pretty big stink on it by now.

I caught way more catfish when I started eurocarping, and the bait smelled way better...however here is a simple but killer bait

box of fresh chicken livers large

tin of smoked oysters in oil

b complex from Wally World

soy sauce

wash the livers in a mix of distilled water and soy sauce  50\50 mix, about 1/2 cup each...save the juice for later lay on dehydrator screens and dry till they are like jerky

grind into a flour with a spice grinder smush up the oysters and add to the livers in a bowl then add the 1/2 bottle of b complex and the soy you washed the livers in

mix well and add flour a little at a time till you get the consistency to your liking

fish on a hair rigged spring

Rip the springs off trebles like this, and tie it instead of a loop in your knotless not hair rig. Use a quality #4 hook

why?  better catch rate and hook hold, less snags

use a .sliding 2 - 3 oz flat sinker ( spray with wd40 to knock off the shine)

Team Catfish Fiber Nuggets. Tried some the other week and it is a weird mixture for sure. Looks like powdered sugar on the outside and dry to the touch. When it gets wet though, look out, it is slimy as all get out! Stays on the hook great too.
