Why does she care about the running boards?  And why do you need a lift because it has running boards?

So he can go to the Sand Dunes to fish for Rio Grande cutthroats and do what a stock 4WD pickup did with a camper on the back :) ,

He doesn't leave a 3 county area.

Maybe the reason y'all feel the need to travel so far from home all the time is because #1 you chose the wrong place to live. And #2 Because you never cross the ditches, the only parts of your county you experience is where the roads are nice and flat.

I did plenty of traveling before I settled down, then chose to settle here. Everything I care to do on a regular basis can be done within 50 miles of my home.  Sorry if that makes you jealous. ☺️

Now as for the Tahoe lift.... I can't even crawl under this thing because the stupid running boards.  If you've ever crossed a river with running boards then you know how they act like the lip on a crankbait.  But you city boys probably never considered any of that because of your "turn around don't drown" mentality.  And when your truck breaks down you just call for roadside assistance.   I'm a bit more independent than that.

A "country boy will survive" and all that kinda BS.  I know the value of a high truck and 10 ply tires.  😋

I am with ya on this one Wrench.  Dealer couldn't believe I didn't want running boards on my truck.

I'm leaving these on just to make Sugarbritches happy, but I'm doing a 3"lift so she actually has to use them, and if need be all I require is 10 minutes and a 10mm socket....and those basturds can be tossed on the roof rack.

Anybody remember that album 'Pretzel Logic'? Somehow I'm reminded of that.

I have taught my wife to grab the overhead handle and jump/slide/roll in.  I point out that if our 4 year old grandson can climb in surely she can.  Have had to pack a small folding stool a time or two to take my mom to Dr. Etc.

The one thing running boards are goof for is to get a good mud smear on your pants leg when getting out after driving wet muddy roads.
