With a detached retina, yeah, definitely let your eye heal.  Your boat will be there when you can get to it after you heal-up. 

I can definitely sympathize because I'm trying to heal after Advanced Surface Ablation on my eye in an attempt to rectify some less-than-great Cataract surgery on my eye that will hopefully restore my vision acuity.   I sure hope your recovery isn't as painful as what I'm trying to deal with but time and following the Doc's orders is the best thing for both of us.

Hows the Jeep pull that thing? Mine couldnt event get my 17ft tracker up the ramp without fourwheel drive or some major clutch slipping.  Finally got lower gears last winter, best money ever spent

tows it great jeep has tow pkg 373 gears and automatic. 3.6 ltr.  if you have an older one with the 4 ltr it doesnt tow as well

mine dropped about 2in when the boat was hooked up.

Mine is the 2 door with a 3.8.  had 3.21 gars in it.  After the lift and big heavy tires i had to go with 4.88's to get 5th and 6th gear back

you have a tow limit of 1000 lbs, if your boat is over that, that might have been the problem. hope you don't tow very far.
