Yep jap cars and trucks have terrible seating and leg room.  IMO. Very thin cushions and to short on the leg room.  Driving a 2013 ram since new.  Best truck so far of 6. All the others were GMC.

You ain't whistling Dixie - I'm 6'4" and the first thing I do when checking out vehicles is see how well I fit in the drivers seat.  My F150 seat will go so far back that I am convinced someone that is 7 foot tall could fit in it.

I once sat in the drivers seat of a Mazda Miata convertible, top of my head was above the top of the front window.

Then there's airplane seats.

I don't know about pickups but I do drive a lot of different SUVs and cars when traveling. I'm 6' 2" and the weight of a couple of people and won't get into anything Ford. In those vehicle classes they either have no room or just aren't as comfortable as their foreign counterparts. A Miata?? Yeah most midgets wouldn't fit. Try to squeeze yourself into a Focus. Same problem. My company car is a Camry. Very comfortable. Even though I don't prefer driving cars it is free so I can't complain. For comfort the best SUVs I have driven are Hyundai. That's how my wife ended up with one. Much more room and comfort than her Jeep. Isn't in the shop as much either. Cars? Kia Optima. But every time that I hit the rental place I try something different if I can.

My sons father in law has a Honda that is 14 yrs old he drives everyday. He bought it new it now has about 275,000 miles on it and he has only 2 small problems with it. My thing about the ToyotaHave a neighbor who had a Tundra 11 year with no problems except putting new tires on it. My problem with either one of  those is it is at least 60+ miles to a dealer.

I buy tires off a buddy of mine, don't need a dealer for my yota's.  He even changes the oil.

Most local mechanics are better trained to service all types of autos, not much use for a dealer for me.  My local Toyota has its issues, won't be taking anything there.  Internet to diagnose, Ebay for parts, then do it yourself or local mechanic.

Probably saved a few million by not taking a beating buying a new one every few years. Nothing depreciates in value faster than a new car.

During my last vehicle buying mission I was blown away by the number of 4-5 year old trucks with 200k miles on them.

In the age of cell phones, video chat, online ordering and all of this technology I can't understand why everyone has to transport their body around more than ever before.  It makes no sense to me at all.

Lots of miles are put on work vehicles. Some things have to be done in person thankfully.
