I have friends that go out to Oklahoma where there is no limit on the number of white bass for daily or possession. How does MDC look at that. Do possession limits from MO apply even though where they were caught is limit free? They may come home with 300 or more fish. I can tell you of a conservation that I had with a Conservation Officer a number of years ago. Myself and two friends were fishing on the Kings River on Table Rock right on the Arkansas border we caught and kept out Missouri limits of White Bass that night we were checked by a Missouri Conservation agent and all was OK but I did ask him about fishing in Arkansas and keeping a Arkansas limit (25) and bring them back into Missouri even if we did not fish in Missouri he informed me that if he caught any of us with more than a Missouri daily and or possession limit he would write us a ticket. And he was wanting to write a ticket that evening but just could not find anything that we were doing wrong. So for what that is worth, Good Luck! And that's my story and I'm sticking to it! Daryk Campbell Sr Posted March 2, 2019 Posted March 2, 2019 How do we go one year discussing the thought of no agents around, and a free for all with no morals, to bring overly worried about the nitty gritty of the law? I appreciate the conversations, don't get me wrong. Just feels a little skitzofrenic in here. Daryl Campbell Sr., I’d assume that this exact statement ^^^ is at least part of the answer to your question. I’m guessing more than one person here has had a similar experience as Shaker where they obviously wanted to write a ticket and were trying hard to find something to sick somebody with. shaker Posted March 2, 2019 Posted March 2, 2019 I didn't write to full story! The guy was trying to sneak up on us and I spied him in the dark sneaking from tree to tree thinking that it might be one of the local guys that I knew I yelled out to him that he was caught and might as well come on in as we will be cooking fish in short order! Well that really seemed to "TICK" him off so here he comes and demands to see my fishing license. This guy is nobody that I know and dressed in a flannel shirt, blue jeans, baseball hat so I ask him just who he thought that he was? That really set him off! Claimed that the was a game warden so I asked to see a badge which he did produce one that looked genuine in the semi dark and along with the ticker book and pen and he was wanting to write ticket really bad. Needless to say that the conversation went seriously down hill from there on! But NO tickets as we had not done a single thing wrong. Several years later I happened to be near a MDC center so went in there was a Game Warden in the office so I told him the story and he wanted to know the guys name but I didn't remember if I even knew? The Game Warden did make the statement that this was very unusual behavior and wanted to know all that I could remember and questioned if this was really a game warden? So now you know the rest of the story! RB Daryk Campbell Sr 1

I got to watch an incident like that once. Quite a few people were fishing under a bridge during the white bass run, there was a half dozen vehicles parked along the road by the bridge. A young MDC agent came strutting down the hill and started checking permits until he got to one Mexican dude that either couldn't understand or speak English....or he was pretending not to be able to. There was a lot of confusion between the two of them until finally the Mexican dude just turned around and walked off downstream in a manner that said "I don't know who this weirdo is, or what he wants, but I want away from him". 🤣 The agent just stood there in disbelief, then shrugged his shoulders and went on to check someone else. I mean what else could he do? Shoot him? After checking one more person he just left and didn't bother checking me and another dude and his girlfriend. So I guess if you don't wanna be bothered with a fishing license check, just pretend that you don't understand what they are saying and calmly walk away. It's as easy as that. 😅 Daryk Campbell Sr and tho1mas 2
Old plug Posted March 2, 2019 Posted March 2, 2019 I have some those stick on rulers the Statewide give out. I do know why. I rarely measure anything anyway. And if I do I got a very accureate yard stick in the back of the boat. 39 minutes ago, fishinwrench said: So I guess if you don't wanna be bothered with a fishing license check, just pretend that you don't understand what they are saying and calmly walk away. In the end he might have gotten in trouble over it. The alternate would have been to call in interpreter and just stand there and wait. Its the law. I could force one to call a interpreter if he was a smart a__. I am deaf but speak very clearly I have run into a few instances where someone thinks I am lying.

Just feels a little skitzofrenic in here. well, the idea is not to be ethical or legal exactly, the idea is to not get caught and ticketed, it took me a bit to understand that- I was seeing things as too technical Quote 3CSR10-6.405 (3) (F) A person may possess no more than two (2) statewide daily limits as prescribed in (F) A person may possess no more than two (2) statewide daily limits as prescribed in 3 CSR 10-6.505 through 3 CSR 10-6.620.3 CSR 10-6.505 through 3 CSR 10-6.620. This says that no matter where you were when the fish were caught (other state) you can only possess what is legal to catch in Mo. So, technically (that is the description of legality) if you have 300 bass in your freezer and they were all caught legally in whatastate you are in violation in Mo. Thing is just deny that it is your freezer. and only answer the agent in Hungarian. It's them against us, ain't it?
MOPanfisher Posted March 2, 2019 Posted March 2, 2019 Well then extrapolating out how can a person legally have elk, bear, or antelope, salmon, etc. in their freezer since it isn't legal to take them.in MO. ?

What would they do? Shoot him in the back of the head? Chase him down and tackle him.....then cuff and stuff him ? Press #1 for English or stay on the line ?
