Swimbait Universe is also a great wealth of information on Facebook Groups. Mike Bucca (creator of the Bull Shad) gets on there pretty often with swimbait advice and info on his baits.

Speaking of the Rat wake bait. I picked up a Savage gear wake snake the other day. Havent fished it much yet but it looks deadly. The action is amazing. I threw it in the neighborhood pond a little bit just to see if i wasted $18 or not.

I've started to buy a Bull Rat several times, but that's the price that I start to really question myself.  I lost my BBZ-1 big trout up by the pot hole last summer and was sick about it for days.

I cast off a $100 glide bait last winter and just tied another one on and kept fishing (hey, they were biting). You have to be a little sick in the head if you're going to spend money on baits like that and actually fish them.

You're right.  I was probably more wound up about it because it was the only big bait I had with me and I was convinced I was gonna stick a big striper!
